Did not stand behind their work. Removed the toilet to fix a partial clog. Verbally guaranteed the work. They did not replace the toilet properly resulting in leaking that required a second service call for which they charged full price. When I requested a more reasonable charge I was threatened with a lien against my property. I don't recommend them and we won't be return customers.

Nigel blew off my job for a longer job. This is after he refused to come for snow, rescheduled, then failed to even call until the following day. Then he lied to me and said that he called the night before to cancel. I have ONLY a cell phone, so there is no possible way that his call was missed AND unrecorded on my phone. Terrible service

I hired A-1 Rooter to do a big job. Unfortunately for me, i do not live in Craig, so i was not there to watch the work in progress. I was first emailed an Estimate; which we all knew was low based on the scope of the work quoted. After several conversations with Paul, their 'Project Manager' he did a good job of keeping me informed but failed to mention the additional costs. In the end, I was OVERCHARGED 71% over the Estimate. I understand that the job was a lot more time and materials, but i was NEVER UPDATED on the Costs. A bill for nearly $12000 was SHOCKING. When i complained about the price, the Owner, Nigel, called me; he did not offer any concession; and then repeated to me ""pay the bill"" 3 times before he hung up on me. I was overcharged and then hung up on; a great combination. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND A-1 ROOTER FOR ANY REASON, unless you are there with a watch. The Owner may hang up on you to. Needless to say, I asked for a discount and he refused and hung up. The Project Manager Paul called me and told me i was a cock sucker; uneducated; and that they were going to put a lien on my commercial property and own it. I do not do business this way; and hope you do not either.

Nigel and his crew are awesome! I'm all the way in Steamboat, they helped me out of a nasty jam when no one else in town would even pick up the phone. They showed up the same day of the problem, even though I called late in the afternoon, and they were here til well after dark. Not only did they get me fixed up, they also found a major problem with the main line and helped me get my HOA to take responsibility and correct it quickly! They came back on the weekend to do some extra work and didn't charge any extra penny, and were able to complete a pretty difficult fix with hardly any disruption; all while avoiding having to jack-hammer my basement out by digging under the building from the outside! Very professional and easy to work with, and most importantly there when you need them!
