J.T. has been to our house on a number of occasions for small(ish) things and done a great job getting to the heart of the matter quickly. But we've also had him for two large projects-the first was a laundry room in our garage and the second one a kitchen remodel. He and his team work hard, do amazing work--it is thorough, neat and finished when they leave. And they always left things cleaner than when they came--even hosed down the patio so the concrete dust from the kitchen wouldn't be tracked back into the house. I can't recommend A-1 enough!

The staff at A-1 Prestige Plumbing was great to work with from the start. We had a cold water leak outside our home and did not know exactly where the leak was coming from. Linda was very professional on the phone when I called to make the appointment. The appointment was set to come out and inspect the leak. Erick and another employee (I'am sorry I do not remember his name) dug right in and found where the leak was coming from within a few minutes. Both ended up quite muddy but neither seemed to mind. They were very polite and professional the entire time. JT brought out parts that were needed to fix the leak since the main line pipe was not installed correctly by a previous plumber by the previous owner. JT was very personal and informative and did excellent work. Now the main line pipe is installed correctly and the leak is gone. I highly recommend A-1 Prestige Plumbing and will definitely use them again!

I would not hesitate to recommend A-1 Prestige. I've used this company numerous times for clearing out clogged drains. Of course, things happen at the ""wrong"" time. Every time I've called, they have come out within an hour, taken care of the problem professionally and the price is very fair. I've had two different plumbers, E.T. and Juan, take care of the drains. Both were courteous, efficient, and very knowledgeable.

This is just a rating for your drivers. Driving down scripps Poway pkwy this morning and had a driver tailing me, speeding, switching lanes without blinker and even glared at me when he flew past. I'm a mom with a small infant in the car. I hope this doesn't reflect what your employees work is like.

I recently purchased a home, and had A-1 Prestige (Juan and Junior) come out to correct an improper hot water heater installation (e.g. handyman hired by previous owner) and provide estimates to run a water line to my refrigerator and a gas line for a future gas dryer. I had noticed a musty smell under the kitchen sink, and asked them to look at it while they were there. Good thing they were out that day! Juan discovered that I had a big split in the kitchen drainpipe that was pouring water into the wall! They removed some dry wall and patched up a huge split in the drain pipe. They then removed as much water as they could reach and gave me some good advice on how to mitigate mold (leak was recent so no mold). I hired them a second time to come out and fix a slow tub drain and replace shower heads for me. The third time I hired them to install a recirculating pump that I purchased on my hot water heater. Juan is very knowledgeable, courteous, prompt, and they do very good professional work. They even offered to haul off the old hot water heater the previous homeowner left behind in the garage. So far, the main office has been very accommodating with my schedule and worked me in within a reasonable time frame. (my plumbing issues were not emergencies).

I don't write a lot of reviews on Yelp, but it is so seldom that I have such a great experience with a plumber I just had to take a minute to review these guys. I had a toilet go sideways on me right before I was throwing a party - you can imagine the panic! These guys were right on it. They (JT was his name) were prompt, efficient, affordable and, most importantly, honest. I know nothing about plumbing was desperate and could have been taken to the cleaners because my back was up against a wall. JT actually calmed me down and assured me all would be good - how often can you say that?!? Two thumbs up!

Called on Sunday concerning a leak in the laundry area leaking down to lower bathroom. Was told they would work me in or latest the following day. Monday told not scheduled. Owner called me blaming illness of workers etc. I have worked with these folks for at least 15 years and recommended them highly to all. Owner claimed they were booked for several weeks. And...I could have been told this on Sunday? Called Bill Howe! They arrived in 30 minutes and provided quick, courteous service. Avoid this place like the plague!

A1 Prestige Plumbing came out to my house to fix a blockage in my tub faucet because the hot water pressure had decreased. A1 Plumbing told me it was simple fix.

The technician came out, pulled out the faucet stem and found some sort of fiber stuck in the stem, pulled it out and reassembled the faucet. They didn't say the stem had to be replaced or anything was bad it was just a piece of fiber large enough to block the hole.

My bad, I didn't check the faucet after he left... I'm not a plumber and he's supposed to be the expert. I trusted them to do the job right.

Then he had me sign off on a sheet of paper saying the work was not WARRANTIED and had me pay a $90.00 service charge. I didn't think anything of it because he didn't replace any parts so obviously there wasn't anything to warranty... well NO WARRANTY also translates to NO GAURANTEE.

After he left, that afternoon I realized that the tub faucet had a drip. I put a cup under the faucet and called them back. Well apparently no warranty means that if they have to come back out to fix something they either broke or didn't do right I GET CHARGED again for another service call. This is what NO WARRANTY means. It means they don't guarantee that their technicians will do a good job or not break something else in the process but they will come out an fix it if you pay them.


If A1 Prestige Plumbing was reputable then they would guaranteed the work their technicians do, not hide behind a NO WARRANTY policy. Now I have a leaky faucet when all I had when they left was low pressure.

UPDATE: 2.10.2016
A1 called back said they won't charge to come back out and it would be part of the service call BUT, it will now cost me $130.00 to replace the stem. When I asked if that was the cost of the part they said yes. I questioned them further saying that I had actually priced the part myself at Home Depot for $8.00 and her story changed to, ""the cost is because we have to pick up the part, drive to your place and install it"". ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!!

I bought some tools, and the part from Home Depot and when I took off the knob, like I had said originally to them, the stem was loose. All they had to do was come out tighten it.

Some companies don't call back right away, some never call back. A-1 Prestige ANSWERED THE PHONE. i have an OLD house and when JUAN came out, he knew it was a tough job and he diagnosed it correctly. He did a great job, working diligently until the job was done, making sure everything worked properly, and cleaning up after he was done. I think I just found my go-to plumbing company in A-1 Prestige and Juan!
