A-1 Plumbing & Sewer was started by my father in 1972. His primary emphasis was on plumbing service and repairs. As the company expanded, he incorporated new construction. In the mid to late 70s, while in high school, I gained experience working with my father. I also assisted him while I was in college. I earned enough hours to successfully take the plumbing exam in Illinois. Eventually, I took over the business.
Today, my son Clayton, a fifth-generation plumber, is pursuing his plumbing license with aspirations of taking over. We have embraced modern plumbing technology. Our sewer cameras allow us to look inside pipes for precise problem identification. We have locating equipment that pinpoints exact underground areas of damaged pipes. Our high-pressure water jet systems effectively remove roots and debris from sewer lines. A-1 Plumbing employs all these advanced tools.
A-1 Plumbing is a family-operated company led by a father and son duo. Our expertise spans all areas of plumbing. We are certified plumbing professionals and contractors. Terry was very courteous and friendly and told me he could be there the same day by noon. By 1pm he had replaced the broken pump, and even contacted a water restoration company for me to get the damage cleaned up. I highly recommend A-1 and will definitely use their services again for future plumbing needs.

Samantha L.We had sewage back up into our basement a few weeks after we bought our house. A1 Plumbing came out the same day (it was a Saturday) to clear the sewer line. After multiple attempts they were unable to clear it. They rearranged their schedule to pull permits and dig up the sewer line on Tuesday. Everything was fixed that day and we had running water again.
A few days later we had a toilet back up. They came out in 24 hours and fixed it. In both instances they completed the work at the low end of their quotes. I keep them on speed dial for any plumbing issues.
