Mike IS A-1 plumbing. I run a business in Dallas, and I have relied on Mike for years. He responds much faster than most, and his pricing is reasonable.
The times I have had to leave a message for Mike, the call backs have been done in a reasonable amount of time.
A-1 Plumbing is operated in a much similar fashion to most all plumbing companies I have dealt with. I am a satisfied customer. BTW- have your ringer on because most tradesmen want to know they are not wasting their time. I always get a courtesy call confirming I am here and ready for my plumbing service.

HORRIBLE customer service. We scheduled an appointment days in advance for 1 - 4 p.m. I changed my work schedule so that I could work from home. Apparently what this company does is call you in that appointment window and if you miss their call - they cancel your appointment. I didn't know this. I had my phone on silent - missed their call. (They had called a few times in a row) Around 1:45 I started to wonder when they were coming - looked at my phone - saw the missed calls. Called them immediately back. They said they had canceled my appointment because I failed to answer the phone. Even though I had an appointment for them to come over. They canceled it. Who does that? They never came by the house! The lady on the phone, who claimed to be the owner, was extremely rude and then says its MY FAULT for FAILING to answer my phone. Why do I need to confirm an appointment within the window of the appointment time?? I feel ONE star is too good for the level of customer service these people provide.

I have never been treated so rudely by a service provider as I was by Mike. He flat out ignored me when I asked questions and basically responded to me by grunting. He charged us over $300 for 1.5 hours of work and I had to ask him to clean up after himself because he was actually going to leave the sewage he pulled from the pipes in our yard. His behavior bordered on disturbed and I did not feel comfortable with him in my home. Two hours after he left, our sink re-clogged, but I would never consider calling him back to my house. I will simply suffer the cost of choosing another plumber--someone recommended. I will never randomly choose a plumber from the internet again.

A-1 is owned and run by Mike, who is a third generation plumber. We had a main line clog caused by our low-flow toilet. I called Tuesday evening, he was at the house Wednesday morning, right on time. Very knowledgable, polite, and fast. I have not had a rooter done before, so I have nothing to compare to, but it took him maybe 30 minutes from start to finish and the bill was $100. I am not going to complain about that at all, since the toilet flushes fine and nothing is coming back up (yuck!). Mike has three generations of experience backing him up. He gave me some tips on how to prevent backups like the one we had again, too. I hope I won't have a clog like that again, but if I do, I will call Mike.
