Did a good job, but, I have a cluttered house. Apparently, if you do, they will service you one time....then place you on a do-not-service list and refuse to do any more work for you, ever again. It's pretty shabby to deny a needed service based on your housecleaning. I'm not Martha Stewart, and never will be. Roto-Rooter was much more accomodating, and will receive any and all future business from me and others that I know. Which means, there are already 5 people that know me that have stated they will refuse to use A-1 based on my treatment, and there will be more once it gets around at my church.

We have used A-1 since we moved to Topeka 15 years ago. This is the second hvac system purchased and installed by them.
A-1 promptly returns calls sets appointments and shows up on time.Theyy are professional and yet friendly and answer all the questions that are ask.

John Durino from A-1 installed a sump pit and pump in our basement, and it got a good workout last week with some extremely heavy rains. The sump pump worked like a champ, and kept our basement dry. Based on previous experience, we know that our basement would have otherwise flooded. We are thrilled with the results. John installed the sump pump in one day, and did everything himself, from jackhammering, digging, installing the pump, and PVC pipe. Only needed to bring in his company's electrician to extend an outlet to the sump pump location. John was very pleasant, and helpful, and worked efficiently and with determination to do the job right. Starting at 8am, he finished by 3pm, and did a heck of a good job. I recommend A-1, and John specifically!

I had a problem thermostat, and I ordered a new one from Honeywell.
A-1 came out within 2 hours and installed it for far less than the minimum service charge from the big guys.
Made sure that it was fully working before he left.

First of all we have always had great service from the plumbers at A1, BUT their air conditioning services need a lot of work. They are overpriced and their equipment has faulted numerous times in the seven years we have had it. Now we have a leak in the evaporation coil which cannot be repaired which means a whole new A coil. I called and they said it was not under warranty, we only had 5 years. We called another heating and cooling company who called the unit company and it is under warranty through the unit company for 10 years so I don't have to pay for a new a coil this way just all the paperwork processing. Very disappointed in how A 1 handles this situations and will not be calling on them again.

Well I was very pleased with A-1's service. They showed up promptly but most importantly they called me an hour before they arrived so I had time to head home. They worked quick and diligent. Mark and his assistant seemed very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and fixed the issue. Will call A1 again for any future issues
