They say that the $125 service call fee would be applied to the final bill! I paid the $125 plus $100 to reattach one wire! The tech that arrived clearly was annoyed that he had to be here, clearly will not call these guys again.

Adding in...Spoke to Dave the owner, he really cares about his business and offered a free maintenance which i declined as it is not a matter of money I am happy to pay the $225 to have a working A/C. The main problem is communication, no one ever mentioned a minimum fee for the appointment only a service call fee that would be applied to the total charge. The tech was knowable even if he was dismissive and annoyed for having to do his job. So I have changed my review from one star to thee stars!

I originally left a horrible review after a service guy came out for a diagnostic and after a quick check told me it was unfixable that the whole unit had to be replaced and said the cost would be around $7000. I got a second opinion from another company and it was fixed in no time for 200. My immediate reaction was that I thought the guy tried to rip me off so I left an angry review stating exactly that. The owner, Dave, quickly reached out to me eager to make right the situation and I was glad to find out the service guy just wasn't thorough enough in diagnosing the problem, and I jumped the gun in thinking he was trying to rip me off. Dave graciously offered me a free maintenance for the inconvenience. I was very impressed and appreciative for the extra mile he went to accommodate and fix the situation. I'd go back to Dave for any and all future AC/heating/plumbing needs and I'd definitely recommend A-1. Superb and genuine customer care. Originally I gave 1 star and was gona changed to 4 (knocking off 1 star cuz of the service guys poor job) but since I was very satisfied and impressed with the owner I ultimately decided to rate 5 for Dave.

Hello, we just had our air conditioning fixed by Joe, he was very professional and was a hard worker. He wore his mask when he talked to us, which I respected a lot. We had a great experience and would use this company again if we have any other problems. Great service !

Mike from A1 just fixed my AC. He was right on time, very professional, and explained everything perfectly. A great experience - I'll definitely use this company again (and I'll ask for Mike!).

I am new to Yelp, but I will start with this review because we recently bought an Air Conditioning Groupon for A-1 Plumbing and it was an awesome deal! The groupon is not still going on but we used ours today and they were really knowledgeable about the problems we have been experiencing with our air conditioner, and they did have to replace a few parts to get it running again, but the groupon covered most of it. I didn't feel like I was getting bamboozled if that is even a word, but we all know how service companies can be. The repairman was there within the window of time they gave us, and he came clean and prepared to get down to business. After looking at our system he came to us and explained everything in detail so we could make the judgement call if we wanted the work done or not. We were impressed with him and we felt he was being fair and honest so we agreed to do the work. I am so glad we did because the ac is running well again. These are a professional, and honest bunch of technicians.

These guys are freaking amazing. The hottest day of the year and my central AC broke down. Got home from work and it was nearly 100 in my house (according to thermostat). I called all the BIG TV advertisers and they had nobody available to come out. I searched the net... called a few more and still nobody could come out til morning. Called this company and ""David"" said that he had a guy in Sherman Oaks, but would not be able to get to my house until 9 p.m. I said I would try making a few more calls. He then said that he had a guy named ""Jason"" that was just finishing a job in Brentwood and would make it within 45 mins or so. ""Jason"" showed up ON TIME and fixed the problem in under half hour TV AD people charge 79 bucks (and they take it off the bill if you allow service) A1 charged 125 bucks and didn't apply to bill My problem was a burnt out capacitor... not sure how much TV AD people would have charged for the same part. Total cost for job was 490 bucks.. I felt that I overpaid for the part and was a little disappointed that they gave me NO CREDIT for ""showing up"" fee.. but overall am grateful that ""Jason"" fixed the problem and got my AC working. ""Jason"" could not have been nicer. One of my better experiences with a tech! ""Jason"" the bomb!
