Our business was established in 1968 by a young couple, Richard (Dick) Peterson and his wife Donna, who both grew up as orphans. Their startup was fueled solely by their commitment and partnership. Dick, a veteran of the Navy, achieved the status of Master Plumber, while Donna became one of the pioneering female plumbers in Texas. They managed to do this while raising their family and volunteering with organizations like the Boy and Girl Scouts, PTA, and other local charities. Their work ethic was relentless, with seven-day work weeks and no time for vacations. Despite facing multiple economic challenges in the U.S. and enduring three significant hurricanes that devastated much of their hard work, A-1 Peterson Plumbing has thrived for 54 years! Mr. Peterson passed away following Hurricane Rita in 2006, yet his legacy continues through his wife and their sons, William ""Bill"" and Richard II, as well as their daughter Donna.
