Our business was established in 1968 by a young couple, Richard (Dick) Peterson and his wife Donna, who both grew up as orphans. They began their journey with sheer determination and collaboration. As a Navy veteran, Dick became a Master Plumber, and Donna broke barriers as one of Texas' first female plumbers. While raising their children, they also dedicated time to community service through the Boy and Girl Scouts, PTA, and other charitable organizations. They worked tirelessly, often seven days a week, with little to no time for vacations. Despite facing multiple economic challenges in the U.S. and enduring three significant hurricanes that devastated much of their hard work, A-1 Peterson Plumbing has thrived for 54 years! Mr. Peterson passed away following Hurricane Rita in 2006, yet his legacy continues through his wife and their sons, William ""Bill"" and Richard II, as well as their daughter Donna.
