Our business was established in 1968 by a young couple, Richard (Dick) Peterson and his wife Donna, who both grew up as orphans. They began their journey with sheer determination and collaboration. As a Navy veteran, Dick became a Master Plumber, and Donna broke barriers as one of Texas' first female plumbers. They managed to do this while raising their family and volunteering with organizations like the Boy and Girl Scouts, PTA, and other local charities. They worked tirelessly, often seven days a week, with little to no time for vacations. Despite facing multiple economic challenges in the U.S. and enduring three significant hurricanes that devastated much of their hard work, A-1 Peterson Plumbing has thrived for 54 years! Though Mr. Peterson left us after Hurricane Rita in 2006, his legacy endures through his wife and their children, William ""Bill,"" Richard II, and Donna.
