I had a terrible experience with this company. We have a business and had the same problem with one toilet that we had had with another toilet a month prior - a leaking drain seal. We had hired a plumber to fix the other toilet and he charged $137, i.e. fair, reasonable price from a nice and pleasant guy. Unfortunately, he was out of town for this, so we reached out to this A-1 Apache company. They said it would be a $90 charge to come out and diagnose, and if we went with them, they would apply that to the charge. We told them what we thought the problem was based on the other toilet, and asked for a rough estimate. They said there is no way they could give us an estimate. Then, when the plumber showed up (a day late without any apology or heads up), after hearing our description of the problem (the same we had provided to them over the phone), and doing no other diagnosis, he said after 30 seconds it is a leaking drain seal, and that it would cost $275. He said, ""the minimum we charge"" is $250 + parts costs. I said this was way too high, and called back the company to ask why they couldn't have given us this estimate before? The plumber was not pleasant to deal with, and then person on the phone was even worse, and hung up on me after calling me an ""asshole.""

I was told that my sewer pipes needed to be re-piped from another plumber. This job is very expensive so I wanted to get another bid. Lenny came out and looked at the situation. He told me straight out that it is possible that I needed a sewer re-pipe, but it really hard to tell without replacing the vent pipe first. He told me to hire the handyman that originally located the leaky pipe and ask him to replace vent pipe. Then from there, if the ground is still wet, then call him back. For now, he told me to save my money and do NOT do a re-pipe. His guess was most likely a re-pipe is unnecessary.

So this is why I liked him. Lenny just talked himself out of a bid. He didn't even put in a bid. He didn't even charge me for this. I just felt that if some guy is going to give me a free estimate and free advice, this guy has to be honest. If you think the other way, he could of just gave me a bid and say I needed a re-pipe.

I notice one of the other reviewers stated they had a hard time locating him. I do agree that I called him several times before I got in touch with him. Once he made the appointment, he was on time.

I used this plumber before, but something has changed he never returns my calls and won't answer the phone.

I agreed with the previous customer, Debbie. He came out to look at the problem, and was friendly. He said he would call me back to schedule a time to come, but he never called back ever since. I tried reaching him the next few days, but he's not answering his phone when I called. He never gotten back to me since.

Warning - dishonest plumber. Came out to fix a leaky tub faucet about 4 months ago. It started leaking again (worse than before). So I called him and asked him to come back and fix it since I already paid him once to fix it. He said he would call me back to schedule a time to come. He has never called. I have called him 4 times but he is not answering his phone when I call. I now have to pay another plumber to come out to fix the same faucet. Don't waste your time or money.
