AHS opened a work order with this biz to fulfill a warranty claim. Someone from A-1 called and left a message to call back to schedule service.
I called that number 10 times (once between 9am-noon and once again between 1pm and 5pm) over 5 days and never once could reach anyone. Nor could I leave a message as an automated voice explained that the voice message box was full.
I read the other one star reviews here and called AHS for help to find a different plumber.

Seems I got lucky as AHS home warranty assigned them and I was fearful of all the negative reviews. Ronaldo and assistant came tightened kitchen sink pipes as came loose leaking. Also snaked tub pulled hair out to fix drainage.

I echo all the posters who wished to give zero stars.
And I must sadly repeat the poor experiences of all those sent by home warranty plans to this very much mis-named ""A-1"". The ""Aid"" in their name is fitting only to describe what they need--not what they provide.
AHS, our (now former) warranty company sent us to this shop. Someone from the shop left a message on my phone to call back and set up an appointment. I called the number given and it rang ten times then went to a machine which said ""The voicemail box is full and cannot take messages.""
I called back later that Monday afternoon. Same thing.
Tuesday, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, I had the exact same experience.
Wednesday....Thursday...Friday!!!
After ten tries to call during normal business hours, over five days--exactly as directed to do by this very business and by the warranty company that sends unwary people their way and not be able to get through, I gave up.
And I looked here on Yelp to find that my experiences have been shared by a great number of other Yelpers.
I suggest you find another plumber with a stronger reputation for reliable service.

Really really bad. Took months of back and forth. Original technician came out to fix a leaky faucet but needed to order parts. Then silence for months. Finally got home warranty company to get scheduled and when the new guy showed up, he said there was nothing to fix and closed it out with my home warranty. So no fix and now back in a nightmare with my home warranty company.

American Home Shield (AHS) warranty sent them. Incompetent and uninterested in fixing the issue. Stood me up for their return visit to try to solve the problem and then wouldn't return my phone calls to reschedule. Total hassle to get AHS to get me a new plumber. But after I called enough and got my realtor involved, AHS finally relented and sent me a different company who definitely were much better!

Our main sewer line to the house was blocked by the clean out which made the toilet in the downstairs bathroom over flow while doing laundry. The water came out of the toilet bowl and pushed the toilet up off of the seal causing g water to come out between the toilet and the floor. The techs removed the blockage by running a snake in the clean out and would not fix the toilet because they said it didn't look like it was leaking. You could see that the caulking had been broken and was wet. They said they were not going to pull up the toilet and if it was leaking they would come back. We used the bathroom later that night and the toilet started leaking. They came back out on the next Monday after the weekend and looked at the toilet and said they resealed the toilet by putting some caulk over the old caulk that was on there and left a mess on the bathroom floor. My wife sent me pictures and the toilet still had all the old caulk with a few patch marks. They were supposed to remove the toilet and replace the wax toilet seal and remove all the old caulk and put new caulk in and they told my wife they were not going to do that they they resealed the toilet which they did not. I recommend you do not use this company at all for anything. When you try to call the office they do not answer their phones and do not call back when you leave a message. This company was sent out from our home warranty company. I called the home warranty company and they are sending someone else out to fix the toilet, and I told them what happened and to never send this company out to my house again.

Zero stars would be better, but it looks like I have to give at least one. I almost never leave negative reviews, but in this case I feel like it would be irresponsible not to, so here goes:
About two months ago, my home warranty company assigned these guys to fix my leaky faucet. They came out, took a look at the faucet, and said they needed to go buy a part and they would be back later that day. I waited around and they never showed. Six weeks and several phone unanswered phone calls later, they finally came back to ""fix"" my faucet- only instead of fixing it they scratched it up, made it look terrible, and made the leak about 3x worse. The technician told me that they had to go in through my closet wall to fix it and that someone would call me back later that day... well, it took me calling several more times to get an appointment scheduled for two weeks later, which brings us to today. I cleaned out my entire closet, and have been waiting around for the last four hours only to have nobody show up, nobody call me, and nobody answer the phone. The customer service rep at my home warranty company finally was able to reach the receptionist, Brenda, who told them that they had no record of my work order.
So, if you want to be given the runaround for two months and also have your plumbing broken even more than it was to begin with, by all means, call A-1 Aid. Otherwise, keep scrolling.

After three other attempts by another plumbing company, today Carlos, from A-1 Aid Plumbing, arrived on time, spent some time analyzing the problem, and finally fixed the issue that has been a source of frustration for us. He was very courteous and professional, and I certainly give him high marks.

BEWARE. This is a HORRIBLE company. Totally unprofessional staff, and even more unprofessional supervisor.
These people do not know their job. I had leaks in bathroom and recirculating pump and some other small problems. AHS sent these people.
Now, it has been over 2 months and problems are still there.
Leak under sink - the plumber told me to replace faucet. I spent $300 because I did not want the crap they offered me as replacement. The old faucet was fine. the leak still there and they couldnt fix
Recirculating pump was leaking. They called AHS and told them they need to modify plumbing and want to charge me $220 for modification (pump was covered by AHS). What was the modification? replace a 6 inch section of the copper pipe coming out of the pump. When I called the supervisor, he said that is his price, and then told me because I am complaining, he will now charge me additional $120 for installing the new pump.
Kitchen faucet was leaking, the guy replaced the valve, but the valve broke because of the way he installed it. So he told me - replace the faucet. I called Kohler and they said replcing the valve will work. But no, he tried to give me a piece of crap faucet replacement, and I had to buy another one. Later, I got the old faucet checked by another plumber and it was FINE. The other plumber told me the guy who broke the valve dod not know what he was doing.
And here is kicker - after chasing them for a month trying to get things fixed, today they tell me they will not do the remaining fixes because I am complaining about them.
What a hack. I hope you do not get stuck with them.

Our garbage disposal started leaking Saturday evening and, after cleaning up the water, I filed a claim with our home warranty company, American Home Shield. On Sunday morning I received an email and text message from AHS stating that A-1 Aid Plumbing had been assigned for the repair. I was not contacted by anyone on Monday, and since it was MLK day, I assumed I would be contacted by A-1 on Tuesday. Early in the afternoon on Tuesday I still had not been contacted and I decided to call them. My call was answered by a machine and I left a message and asked they let me know when they were coming to fix my disposal. On Wednesday morning I still had not received a call so I called them again. This time I reached a live person and asked when they were coming. I was told they only service my area on Wednesdays. I indicated that it was Wednesday and the person told me that they won't be out until next Wednesday. I couldn't believe it. It was as if I was trapped in a Three Stooges or Marx Brothers movie. Had they simply called me when, I believe, they should have, I would have been a happy camper. As it is, I've contacted AHS and asked for another plumber. Following that, I looked up the company and came across this site and all the bad reviews, and felt obligated to add one more. Obviously, AHS does not vet their contractors since a number of bad reviews are a year, or more old. In addition, I've been paying AHS for over a year and a half with no requests for service. Had I been putting that money into a savings account I would of had enough to buy over half a dozen garbage disposals. Maybe it's time to rethink AHS.
