they were very fast in responding. the service Technician was great. The cost was unreasonable. $561 to replace a garbage disposal and I had the disposal. the quote to rebuild a shower lever was $600. I declined. Another plummer just completed the 15 minute job for a small fraction of that cost.
Run from this company. Called for a bathroom drain cleaning. The estimate was hundreds of dollars when I've had main lined cleaned for a fraction of this. They also wanted to ""inspect"" all other plumbing. I happily paid the $79 service call and passed on all their services.
DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY They will scam you! I had a clogged bath tub. Was told by tech he could unclog it for $450 and I had to sign agreement to pay that before work was done. Tech went into the crawlspace and worked for a while. Then came back to the bathroom to tell me he could barely get his snake into the trap. He said the only way he could unclog it was to replace the old trap with a new P trap. And that was going to cost another $500! Only having one bathroom I agreed on that, I just wanted to get it fixed and him out of my house
at that point. So I had to sign another agreement for the additional work. He went back to the crawlspace and replaced the trap. Then low and behold he comes back in the house with a snake to use in the tub! He said it would be easier to use it inside the house! Why did he not try that in the first place! For $450 you think he would have at least tried! Obviously that was all part of his plan to rip me off! The tech also said whoever worked on the old trap last, put duck tape around it to hold it together. I find that really hard to believe.
Hiller unclogged the drain about 14 years ago for $270. I wish I would have called them or anybody else.. So yea, I paid $950 to unclog a tub!!! I am sure the response from the owner will be the same BS he puts on all of his other bad reviews. When I first thought about calling them, I saw the 4.7 rating and thought thats not bad. But I failed to read the bad reviews. I am not the only one who has been ripped off by these crooks! Read the other reviews and dont get taken..
Jackson B.I would like nothing more than to add an additional star or two based on the kindness of our installers; however, with a handful of mishaps along with the pricing coming in at $3-5K north of many of its competitors, I can only bestow three (3) stars to 615 Plumbing.
The Good: Our requested job of having the entire plumbing of our one-story home (~2,100 sq. ft.) replaced was completed successfully within what I'd estimate to be an average duration of time (one week). The pipes have not proven to be problematic since their install. The installers were quite friendly.
The Not so Good: During install, the lid covering our master bath toilet's tank was inadvertently damaged (however... I should note that 615 quickly replaced and installed an entirely new toilet for us, which was of slightly better quality than the original). Another hiccup came in the form of leaving an unfinished pipe protruding the wall behind the toilet at its base. Lastly, there were seemed to be an instance where time was a bit mismanaged by our installers.
________________________________::: UPDATE :::___________________________________
Within the last week, we were phoned by the owner of 615 Plumbing, Tyler, who wanted to discuss and potentially improve our experience.
After relaying the hiccups we experienced during install (see above), Tyler offered to remedy (or otherwise address) any work we felt was unfinished or unsatisfactory, free of charge. His offer was warmly received and appreciated on our end.
As for pricing, Tyler explained his practice of offering competitive wages in the interest of securing an experienced and tenured team.
In considering the owner's generous offer to remedy our concerns (and stellar customer service), I've decided to bump my rating to 4 stars. :)
Highly overpriced. Do not call them. The owner is obnoxious and has zero respect for his customers. ~$750 for a simple garbage disposal replacement! The service and parts are as expected - nothing extraordinary that will justify the price gauging! Do not believe a word the owner says to justify his prices. He seems to have his talking point well memorized judging by the responses below and my personal interaction.
I called them to find a leak in my irrigation system. The lady on the phone confirmed their advertised $79 diagnosis fee. I asked specifically if that was to find the leak and she said yes and they use sound leak detection equipment. They would give me an estimate of the cost to repair once they found the leak. They came out very quickly and the guys were nice. They looked at the situation and said they would have to go get the leak detection equipment and it would be $500 to find the leak... I quickly conveyed that I thought that was a misleading way to do business... Why would I want to pay $79 to get someone to come out and tell me it would be $500 to find the leak? I feel stupid for falling for a trick. I did what I always do when I feel tricked... I sent them home... In their defense, they did not charge the $79.
The tech that arrived simply didn't want to do the work and gave an absolutely absurdly high bid. Had to pay a service call fee simply because the tech was lazy. Not worth your time or dollars.
615 Plumbing charges for an attempt, not a service guarantee.
I had a leak in my laundry room and they wanted to charge $500 to unclog a washer line. It was going to be that or several thousands of dollars to build in some features that could help prevent leaks in the future. Not being able to justify the expense to renovate the area, I settled for the unclogging of the line.
After not being able to clear the line on their initial attempt, 615 Plumbing left the job with no return to attempt again. They left my washer lines clogged and would not come back to try again. I asked on three different occasions if they would try again, and they said only if I would pay for the renovation with thousands of dollars would they deduct the cost of unclogging the line like originally implied.
Please understand, you're paying for an ATTEMPT at a service, not the COMPLETION of a service with 615 Plumbing.
EDIT: Though they've replied below with information regarding this job with details on a 'collapsed line', that was not communicated to me as to why they apparently couldn't clear it. They had told me they could use a camera wire to scope out exactly why it seemed to be clogged for an extra charge.
The work that they did was good, however it was not what we requested. I called to get an appointment to fix some minor leaks. Technician came and convinced my elderly unknowing husband that we need a whole new water softener and that the one we had and never used was outdated. 1. I didn't call about the water softener 2. You made it seem like that a New water softener was the only option 3 you quoted us a price and said you would give us an $800 discount (that was never taken off the total price! 4 . I left messages with Jennifer at least three times for management to call me and get me a detailed invoice of everything that was none along with cost and labor never received. I strongly believe they took advantage of my husband knowing we did not need a brand new water softener. Our total price was $4800 for something that should have not been. I know they try to talk people into other items because the very first time we used them they said we needed a whole new kitchen sink. After I told them To just fix the leak and I didn't have money for a new sink and we went back and forth the leak was fixed and never another problem with the kitchen sink. Where are the morals of this company is this how you run a professional business getting over on hard working everyday and elderly. I want the next person to ask questions and don't just go with what they say if it do t sound right it's not right So how do rectify the $800 discount and me wanting a complete and full copy of the invoice with the charges?
Lydia P.I decided to do some renovations in my kitchen and the plumber quoted a little over $1800 to put in a new sink and garbage disposal. The cost was extremely pricey but I could not wait a week for the most reasonable plumbers to come out. Now today a couple of weeks later on Christmas day, the piping comes loose and flood the kitchen. We called the facility that states they are 24/7 and are told that they cannot get to us until Tuesday and notified us that we may have to pay a diagnostic fee. A diagnostic fee really??? In addition the rep seemed like she was frustrated because I questioned it. she stated she has a blurb to read and does not have access to warranties or anything that could put my mind at ease. But sitting in my shoes for just few minutes. $1800 is nothing to thumb your nose at, and for that kind of money I spent nothing better not come loose and if it does we damn sure better not have to pay any fee let alone a diagnostics fee. i understand that it is the holiday but if faulty work is an issue then should the company not do what is necessary to right the wrong. As now my holiday is ruined with a busted pipe, wet floor and cabinet, and $1800 gone that I will never get back. My mistake for not waiting the darn week.
