Worst service ever. Ruben came out to snake our system and ended up breaking our toilet and didn't want to admit to breaking it. Toilet was fine before he worked on it, then once he worked on it, it magically started leaking water and there was a whole in the back of toilet. Would not recommend their service to anyone.

Tried this plumber for first time from his ad in paper. Kitchen sink clogged, house 60's era w old plumbing last time I had Kitch sink rootered bout 3-4yrs ago. Ruben n another guy showed up on time took bout 15mins n water was flowing again I expected n up sell like to replace my main or something but that didn't happen. Total cost $54 n I'm quite happy.

Total Rip off. Nothing they do is $50. On the phone Ruben the rip off artist said the using the snake in the cleanout is $50, but if he had to open the traps under my double bathroom sinks and clean them out, it would be $115. I said that if he had to do that, could he guarantee that it wouldn't go over the $115 because I need to know what it ""could"" cost as I am a senior and on social security), and he said yes. So he came out and found that all he had to do was the $50 snake out side. He did NOTHING AT ALL INSIDE, and presents me with a bill for $115 for the 15 minute rooter job. I asked why he was charging $115 for the $50 service, and he said that is what I agreed to on the phone (Which I did not agree to unless he did more inside the house). He works on intimidation too ........... Wouldn't leave unless I wrote the check for $115. I called him back a few minutes later, and left a message to bring back my check and I would give him one for $50 like it should have been. That is the going price for this kind of thing. Instead, he rushed right to my bank and cashed the check. The bank did check on the license he puts in the newspaper, and apparently it is fake. No such license number. Anyone would be crazy to used this jerk. If you cant afford a lot of money to do a very simple cleanout, beware of this guy. Oh...also, he insisted that I make the check out in his own name and not the company name. Ruben Arroyo is how it was made out. I dont think it even went to a company. I think he pockets the extra money. The motto on his card says ""We'll drain your pipes, not you pockets!"" Ha!!! False advertising at its worst!!

I called the fifty dollar rooter man out to my home to snake a clean-out in order to resolve my backing up issue. He was on time...cleared the drain, made sure all was good by running water for awhile...I paid...he left ..all was good...until a week later...I started having the same issues and thought I may have a bigger problem.
Well I called back, and he actually agreed to come back out...and at No Cost. cleared the drain again and it's been a coupe of months and so far all is good.
So. I'd recommend this plumber...honest guys.

Before you call these guys, I want to give you a Head's up!
In 2004 I hired Ruben to unclog my bathroom sink. He used a plumber's snake to clean it out and charged me $50. I was very happy with his work.
But today the same sink was clogged again!
I couldn't believe it.
I mean, I just paid $50 twelve years ago to unclog the sink.
And now, after twelve straight years of working perfectly, the same damn sink won't drain. I'm like, what the hell?
Back in 2004 I could've paid a Real Plumber $150 to do the same job. But no, I chose to save a hundred bucks and went with the $50 Rooter Man.
So happy I did, too, because these guys really are great!
Ruben and his dad, Ruben Sr. showed up on time today and quickly unclogged my drain. I really appreciate being able to get a drain unclogged for a fraction of what a plumber charges.
Mikey C says: Licensed and Insured! (them, not me)

That 50 dollars turned into $150 a chip in my bathtub and still clogged up. They don't know what they are doing. Called a real plumber he was here less time and got it working for $125.

I have used this plumber numerous times. I have a huge tree that battles with the line under the street to the house. Because it is such a costly repair, I have used the $50 Dollar Rooter Man on both an emergency basis and as maintenance to keep the line clear. He is most courteous and helpful, has always left things clean and tidy, and I will continue to use him in the future. One time after he left, there was a left over problem. I called him and Rueben came back, fixed it at no charge and all was good again. I would and have recommended him to others.

Didn't even hire these guys, just witnessed their truck carelessly back up into a brand new Camaro, if it weren't for the homeowner calling him out, Reuben (heard the homeowner call him by name) would have driven off. He pretended he didn't know he had the hit the car. Left a ginormous dent and scrape in the driver side door. I would not want to hire someone with this mentality.

Used them before and was ok but the issue came back up after 6 months (main line clog) They came out took care of the drain for 150.00 and then charged us another 200.00 to reinstall the toilet and to snake the shower.!?!
and then wanted cash,
I call BS but what do you do? had them finish the job and now will never use them again and just beware prices change according to atittude and their hiding cash from the government.
Not a good way to do business.

My parents were having trouble with their toilet so they decided to call $50 Dollar Rooter Man. After explaining the issue they were experiencing, my parents were told that the service would cost $50. When the plumbers arrived, they took a look at the toilet and said that it would actually cost $250 since they would have to remove the toilet. My parents tried to argue and contest going up 5x the original price, but the plumbers simply said, it'll cost $250 or they wouldn't do anything at all. After much hesitation, my parents paid them, and the plumbers took only 15 minutes to correct the issue.
If it was because my parents had a lot of people over for a party that the plumbers decided to squeeze them for more money has weighed on mind, but it remains to be circumstantial. In other words, I hope these plumbers didn't see an opportunity of taking advantage of two old people with a houseful of guests in an effort to get more money.
All I'm saying is that if a business says they'll perform a service for $50, they need to stick by their word. And if it turns out that more compensation is needed, it should be because the work is more labor intensive.
I'm giving this business one star because at the end of the day they did fix the toilet (and that's also the minimum amount Yelp allows me to give them). Just please be wary of confirming with them about the price when you call. ""We'll drain your pipes, not your pockets!"" So much for their slogan...
