Updated reviews once more for Yelps, Facebook, Instagram, Google, BBB, and American Home Shields Three weekends ago on May 4, 2021, I tried reaching Nick, the owner and technician who gave me his cell phone number to call him if I needed help with anything, which I did. My shower drainage was overflowing, and I wanted someone who could help with the issue; instead of listening to why I called for his help, he in turn: -blocks me -will not answer any of my calls and -hangs up on me. I even left a text message on the number on their website, but still no response. Don't get me wrong, Nick has done jobs for me in the past and did very well and treated me professionally. The reason for him to do all this is that he was involved with me for almost a year. He used profanity words towards me, he displayed personal private pictures of me on dating apps because I wasn't available for his needs. I do believe this is why he was ignoring me with my calls, blocking me, and wouldn't help me because I didn't give him what he needed and treating me with plenty of profanity words which were unnecessary and unprofessional. If Nick is an owner and a technician, does he not understand his company policy of not being involved with his customers. Is it not still unprofessional as an owner and experienced technician to treat his customers like that. Why would you offer to give your number to your customers for help but not be there or respond to them? So I tried calling the technician, Nick, again to explain what transpired and why he did not respond to my help; instead, his response was: (unfortunately, I can not leave it as a review since there were many profanity languages used towards me). Now is this how technicians should speak to their customers. I have decided not to use this company as my plumber in the future, I will not be using this company through American Home Shields (my home warranty). I have already let them know how unprofessional the owner was over the phone and on my review. I will also inform anyone looking for a plumber to find another company. Well, I guess he just ruined everything about his business name and himself. So every time I have an issue with any of my plumbing works, I will make sure that American Home Shield finds me entirely different companies no matter how close those companies may be due to the ZIP Code locations; I will take anybody from any distance as long as it is not a 5 Star Air Quality Company. I will make sure the request is on my contract with American Home Shields.

I have a home warranty I use since I bought my home in June 2018 and they contacted 5 Star Air Quality for a service in August 2018 for leaking pipes. But as I reviewed the issue, I was able to fix it myself. I called and canceled the service call and notified my home warranty company as well. So now I get an invoice in Nov 26th for a service fee of 75.00. I called and explained it was canceled and no service was provided. Well, 5 Star sent them an invoice for services rendered but no one ever came out to the house. My home warranty company tried to do a 3 way call with them but they could not produce an invoice and said they would have to manually create one, again keeping in mind they never came out to provide any service to my home. They billed the Home Warranty company for service that was never provided. THIS IS FRUADULENT Billing, I am contacting the BBB and Florida licensing Dept. to report them. I would not trust this company with any work if this is they we they practice business. FRAUD ALERT!!!!!!!

Dispatched through American Home Shield, Nick responded within an hour for an after hours plumbing emergency and had the situation rectified quickly. Dispatcher and the 5 Star team were all helpful and professional, will call them if needed again. Thank you

The 5-Star plumber """"repaired"""" my leaking copper pipes with an automotive hose, saying fixing it in any other way would damage the pipes. I sent a picture & product name to a code enforcement official who told me it did not meet code in Florida and to attempt some sort of alternative solution would require a permit (which the plumber didn't have and the city would not have granted). It's impossible to reach this Orlando-based company by phone; you must leave a message & wait for a call back. I tried for over a week to speak with someone other than the original plumber. I told them I needed a master plumber or supervisor to correct the ILLEGAL WORK. My home warranty company also left at least 2 messages. No response. Avoid Orlando 5-Star Air Quality--at least for plumbing! The don't know or don't care about doing proper work.
