SDG&E cut off one of our gas lines because of a leak in a pandemic. Thankfully they left us with hot water in half the house but 5 people to a shower was not going to make home stay any easier. Jake at 481 Plumb was fantastic. For one, he wore his respirator the whole time he was in our garage, so he was super conscious of and equipped for contactless and safe work, which is not easy to find these days. His honesty and communication was amazing and he found us a solution, by crafting a pipe in his workshop, that meant we didn't have to replace the whole system. It cost us 1/10th the price of one of our quotes. He even offered to buy me groceries because he was already there (in his respirator). He's just a stellar, super capable, bright, and nice person to the point that I told my neighbor who referred him that-- Jake is my favorite person in the pandemic!

Jake is awesome! Very reasonably priced and does a great job. Cleans up after himself. About half the price of the big companies. He was referred to me by two friends who use him and I was not disappointed.

Jake is awesome, totally professional. He installed a toilet, bidet and two sinks for us. They look great and the work was done quickly and efficiently. This was around December so it was tough to find anyone to even come over. Big plus for me is that there's no mincing around about pricing or timing. Jake's a straight shooter. He made the phone calls to suppliers right in front of me. If you need a solid install done, Jake's the guy to do it. Highly recommended.

This is hard to believe! Jake came out to take a look at a leaky faucet in my garage. I was shocked at how much it was going to be to fix the faucet but he said he would come out and take a look. He told me exactly what it needed but also said he could cap it so I could have it fixed at a more convenient time. The cap would cost 12.00. I ran upstairs to get a $20.00 bill but he said he didn't have change. While waiting for me, he noticed my bumper sticker and said it was worth the $12.00 and didn't charge me anything. I was really surprised and will be sure to call him the next time I have any plumbing problems. It is hard to find a person who really is interested in helping you out. I plan to recommend him to all my friends in the area!

Jake Smith of 481 Plumb is the real deal. He is very knowledgeable about his trade and he does excellent quality work. He has replaced temperature control valves on two showers, reset wobbly toilets, fixed assorted leaks and I plan to have him install a new garbage disposal for me next week with a new switch and reworked dishwasher air gaps. I work in insurance and am frequently asked for a plumbing referral. I feel confident recommending Jake!
