I Had an unusual plumbing repair to complete. I tried to do it myself, and could not get tools onto the receessed brass fittings for the thermostatic cartridge on my shower valve. I got the parts which cost $ 250 and took the valve apart. Once I got into the cartridge, I could see damage to the soft brass fittings. I tried to take it apart but only made the damage worse. I spoke to a couple plumbers about fixing this and both turned the job down. I spoke to Dave at 4 Star and he knew my valve and asked for pictures of the damage. From experience, he knew exactly what the problem was but warned me that fixing it might require knocking out the entire shower wall. He setup a call with one of their technicians that had some experience with thermostatic control catridges and two days later he arrived. I should have watched to see this guys techniques because he was done in 20 minutes. The 4 Star peolpe were all very nice and knowledgeable and they have proven that they can handle unusual and challenging repairs.

They came out the very next day, and on time. I was looking to replace an old garbage disposal that kept jamming up. The plumber was neat, courteous, and installed a new disposal in less than an hour. The dispatcher was very pleasant, too. I received an email confirmation within 3 minutes of making the call. And even a follow up email after the job asking how everything went. You can tell that they really do strive to do good work and to get good reviews, and they truly deserve it. They may be a little on the higher end of the price scale, but it's worth it to me to have the job done right the first time, and to not be waiting all day for someone that doesn't even show up (has actually happened to me with another plumbing company), so they are with every penny since my time is valuable. Definitely going in my permanent contacts list!

We arrived back at our Fort Lauderdale condo this past Monday after being away for a couple of months, and by Tuesday morning realized our 17-year-old water heater had died (may it rest in peace). A predicament, to be sure, as we tried to figure out where we would shower until we could get a replacement. As luck would have it, we contacted 4 Star based on the significant number of excellent Yelp reviews. This business should actually change its name to 5 Star because it surely is that. My first contact was with Janet, and I was soon also dealing with Andrew and Alex on the phone. By texting them photos, and with Andrew volunteering to deal with our building management office to cover the permit and insurance issues, we were able to get a commitment from 4 Star to install the new water heater that same afternoon. Dave showed up for the installation at the promised time, and by dinnertime, we were the proud owners of a brand new functioning water heater. From our first contact with Janet, we felt that 4 Star was totally sympathetic to our need for fast action. Each of the four people we dealt with was concerned, competent, and willing to do whatever it took to get us a new water heater pronto. Dave's installation was clean and prompt, and he was a super nice guy to chat with. He even took a look at our dishwasher at my request and gave us some needed advice on that issue. The need to call a plumber is an experience in life pretty much like having to go to the dentist with a toothache. You'd rather not have to. But this company was truly a pleasure to deal with. They were actually one of three plumbers we called, all highly rated. One could not commit to installation in less than a week, another couldn't commit at all to a time frame, and then we lucked out with 4 Star. My wife and I both would highly recommend this outstanding company. In fact, I think we just did.

Called on a Sunday with a plumbing emergency. Was told that they would be here within an hour and that actually happened. The plumber was courteous, thorough, and didn't rip me off. Was pleased to find a company with integrity, especially when we were in such a vulnerable situation. Will use them again and recommend them to others.

Had new plumbing issue, clogged drain in the guest bathroom stall shower. Called 4 star for this issue and was equally pleased. Timely, friendly and professional. I was told what the service call fee would be ahead of time and any additional charges depended on what's done. It was thought it would needed to be """"snaked"""" and I was quoted the price. When the drain was accessed he noted the clog was immediate and didn't require snaking. He gave me the option of leaving it at that and no additional fee or snaking the line while he was here. That was being """"honest"""", a welcomed commodity! I couldn't give five stars d/t prices higher than most but, over all work done was great.

I received a courtesy call in the morning saying they were on the way. My technician, Alex, arrived promptly, and provided competent, meticulous, and courteous service for a reasonable price. I contacted 4-Star on the weekend for a leak in my water heater. It wasn't an emergency but communication was prompt and professional. They came out and fixed it, and I couldn't be happier with their level of service. Would recommend these guys to anybody in South Florida!

I had a leaking toilet and called 4 star based on the reviews I saw on Yelp. They are everything you see here. Quick, knowledgeable and honest. My issue was so minor, they even took care of me as a courtesy. The representative that came to my house was very friendly and timely. I would definitely recommend them!

Another great experience with 4 Star Plumbing!!! I know it's never good to have anything break down in your home, but when I have any issues related to plumbing, I know I can rely on 4 Star to do it right. They're always on time, very professional, and work very efficiently. Special shout out to Alex Alvarez who is great at what he does and always so pleasant and friendly even though he's probably really tired from all the running around he has to do. My garbage disposal was leaking (it's quite old) Alex was here on time and got the job done in less than an hour. 4 Star probably isn't the least expensive provider out there but my time is valuable to me and knowing I don't have to sit around waiting for them to show up and wondering whether it will get done right, is worth it. Sometimes, you do get what you pay for and, in this case, it was well worth it. Maybe they should consider changing their name to """"5 Star"""" Plumbing based on the review I'm giving. Thanks Alex!!!
