I recently had the unfortunate experience of hiring 3R Plumbing and Mechanical for the replacement of my heating system.I am compelled to share my dissatisfaction with their service and workmanship. Below are the key issues I encountered during the process.

Quote Comparison - I received three quotes for the new heating system and installation services. 3R Plumbing & Mechanical's quote was about 35%-40% higher than the lowest estimate.

Justification of costs - The salesperson assured me that the higher price reflected superior quality, advanced technology, and excellent service. Unfortunately, the installation did not yield the expected quality of service that was promised.

- From the start, the estimate wasn't completed properly. The technician didn't measure the space correctly so when they came to install the unit the unit didn't fit in the space.

- Then once the new unit got installed the technicians left without fully testing and checking for any issues. I immediately noticed that the system was making a loud noice and was not running properly resulting in inconsistent and low temperatures.

Overall, my experience with 3R Plumbing & Mechanical for the HVAC and heating unit replacement has been deeply disappointing. The lack of communication, unprofessional behavior and poor workmanship left much to be desired. I would advise others to be cautious when considering this company. I would not recommend their services to anyone looking for reliable and quality work. I suggest researching thoroughly and choosing a company with strong reviews and track record of excellent service.

My boiler shut down. I knew it was not repairable. I call 3R Plumbing and Mechanical On a Friday and they sent out a technician to us. He was ahead of schedule and thoroughly evaluated the boiler situation taking pictures and conferring with the owner. They were straight out with work. However, they made appt for the next Friday to come install a new steam boiler. Four technicians worked on getting the old boiler out and and putting in the new boiler. They arrived on time with all the gear they needed to install the new boiler staying all day and 3R came back the next day to finish up connecting the boiler. Made sure all our pilot lights were relighted. It was a great experience for my husband and I. I would recommend them Totally!!

If you hire Ross, you need to set aside money to hire a second plumber to fix what he can't. We hired Ross two times, with the same result. He is professional but not a competent plumber. First time he installed an HVAC unit. Said his work was guaranteed. But when the unit started leaking water all over the floor, he wouldn't come back. He told us to call the manufacturer as it was a product defect. So, we called another plumber who solved the problem by swapping out the water condensate removal pump for a stronger one. The second time we had Ross swap out some valves on the heating system. The heating issue was worse after his work. He could not figure out what was wrong and told us to call an electrician. Again, we called another plumber who diagnosed and fixed the problem in 10 minutes. His work guarantee doesn't mean anything because he has a lot of excuses as to why the problem is not a plumbing problem. But another plumber seems to be able to fix what he can't.
