In this detailed review I will do my best to be fair but my overall experience with Josh and Desarae was horrible. I used this ""company"" for several projects so I will detail what was done correctly and what was not.

Job 1: patch walls, fix crown moulding, install a light fixture, caulk down stove corner and hand held sprayer at kitchen sink, and paste wallpaper on ceiling. Most was done but 1) not in one visit (it kept running over and they kept asking more $) and 2) some of the work was done by Desarae's brother who eventually got fed up with the two and left the company. The quality was this particular project was done well except for the wallpaper. They pasted the precut pieces onto my ceiling and didn't even match up with the other row. Then when they tried to replace it started falling off. They said they'd reorder a new roll and replace. They did reorder but never replaced it and have not returned my texts. I paid for this and they never completed the job!

Job 2: replace window ledge in bathroom, fix vent downstairs, and finish kitchen sink sprayer. Josh gave me an estimate which differed than Desarae. I ended up paying more again for this project. I was initially told they would fix the vent once they got drywall from job 3 so I initially gave them leeway. In the end they just glued it up and never completed the job w dry wall as stated. The ledge itself is beautiful but the caulking and waterproof painting around the window is horrible. They kept saying they were gonna finish it after job 3 but they never did. In fact they never returned my texts

Job 3 repair basement. Had some water damage and needed dry wall, painting, flooring repair, etc. Well they got it done but it took forever! To be fair we also had a basement tenant who wasn't too favorable to them coming in. They washed their brushes and equipment in my laundry sink, permanently staining and scratching it. They did epoxy in spare room and fixed dry wall by I wouldn't say it was good work. It was fair. In the estimate they didn't even repair the baseboards. Of course I couldn't think of it all so they left it looking unfinished.

Personally, Josh seems like a nice guy but the work is shoddy, slow, and there's too much drama in him and his wife's life that impacts the job. Too often he had to go to court or car broke down or parent left the project. It was horrible. I kept paying bc in the end I wanted it done. It's sad bc I was really hoping this would work out so that I can have a regular handyman but these two were disorganized, unreliable, and unprofessional. I caution anyone to use their services. Btw in the end my ceiling has pieces of wallpaper falling down, bathroom window looks horrible, and they never won't honor their jobs once paid. DON'T FALL FOR THE ""WE CAN DO T FOR LESS"" GIMICK
