I tried to get them out to clear a residential kitchen drain and they could not come until four days later. No thanks.
They referred me to Lovett Plumbing, which quoted $400 (ridiculous!) and has a bunch of negative reviews on Yelp. Smells of collusion to me.
That's two companies I will never call again for anything! I've been in the trades most of my life and I know most tradesmen are good hard-working honest people. The guys they referred me to are predatory jerks and need to be driven out of business! Why would you refer me to someone like that? Shame on you, and please realize the negative impact on your business for steering me toward a crook.
Dem R.My landlord tried to use this company to come fix a problem in my kitchen sink (rocks in the supply line leading to water flow reduction of about 70%.) What's ensued over the last month or so has been frustrating to say the least.
The first time they came to asses, they sent a drain tech. She explained she was the wrong type of technician to even be able to assess the issue and that they would send someone else over ASAP. ""ASAP"" meant three days later. That technician told me he needed to order a part which would take about a week. They ordered the part and called us a week and a half later, and came to finally fix the problem two and a half weeks after we first got in contact with them about the issue. To me that seems like a really lengthy turnaround time, especially because we could barely use our sink!
Fast forward two weeks later, and the same issue is back. I called to schedule an appointment on Monday, and they told me someone would be by on Thursday. Thursday came and went, no call. They called me today (Friday) saying a tech would be able to stop by at 3pm. I asked them to please make sure that he came prepared with adequate notes from the last fix so that hopefully everything could be resolved in one visit.
Well, they just called me to tell me the tech who was supposed to come maxed out his time on the last job and they can't get anyone out here for another *four* days. The operator was apologetic, but the whole thing just seems fishy to me.
I have never experienced customer service that is quite this difficult to navigate, especially since they didn't adequately fix the problem the first time. I would expect that they would want to compensate for that by hitting it out of the park on this one. Instead, the whole operation seems really disorganized, and I feel that I was not prioritized as a customer because my landlord is paying the bill. Cannot in good conscience recommend this service.
Seriously, look no further than 3 Mountains Plumbing. While most drain clearing services come out to your home, assess your net worth first and then throw some ridiculous price at you, 3 Mountains offered a great price on their website and then billed me for $10 less than the quoted price. Logan could not have been more polite and conscientious and even disinfected both the tub and shower stall after clearing the plugged drain line. I've lived in my home for 25+ years and have used all the various ""rooter"" guys out there. That's over and 3 Mountains will be only call going forward. Thanks for thinking of customer retention first not customer exploitation first!
Joel H.Very pricey ($1100 for water heater installation excluding the water heater!?). Whoever made our appointment did not listen at all when making our appointment and ended up wasting our time for the 'appointment' and 'proposal' (which was horrendously overpriced) as they didn't have the specific hot water heaters requested (Energy Star Certified) nor do they even carry them in stock. And they charged a service fee for the appointment.
Dave O.I had a belly on our sewer pipe going to the main 11' under the street. I'm in the middle of selling my house and in escrow and needed to get this fixed ASAP. 3MP came out within one day to scope my sewer and we're able to schedule in a repair within less then a week, probably would have been quicker but it was raining and they can't asphalt in the rain so I figured I would wait until the sunshine. Edgar, Thomas, and Jeff came out and pretty much knocked it out in 2 days, and when they dug and reached the pipe they found that the main was damaged as well so they were able to repair that as well and still get it done quick. Ian called us with the additional cost for the main repair and gave us all the info upfront. These guys are true pros they know what they're doing. They are not the cheapest company but you get what you pay for and we paid for top notch work. I would use 3MP again and would recommend them especially if you have any major repair that needs underground digging.
Kitchen sink was slow draining for a while. Called several plumbing companies around Portland and the prices were out of my budget.
Benjamin showed up and was professional, personable, and informative. Great price, service and overall convenient experience.
Thanks to 3 mountains my kitchen is now, a kitchen again.

Yvonne C.We received excellent service from this company. Absolutely no complaints about their work. Here is my issue. The person ""Mark"" removed our garbage disposal and added new pipes. He then stated that we had standing water under our cabinet and dishwasher as well. He pulled out a servpro business card and told us to contact them and they would come out with a dehumidifier to dry up any water. He talked about mold and dry rot. Needless to say, we were really upset and worried. He said our homeowners may cover it but to contact servpro first to have them come out and take a look. Since it was Saturday, my father decided to remove the dishwasher cover so we could clean up whatever standing water we could. It was completely dry under the dishwasher and the cabinet. We were both surprised but relieved. I was contacted by 3 Mountains plumbing yesterday, Monday, to ask if I was satisfied and would I recommend them to family and friends. I stated yes but told her about my experience with the ""standing water"" or lack there of. Well today I get a call from Servpro to set up an appointment to come out to check on the standing water. Why is an employee of this 3 Mountains contacting an independent company (Servpro), without my permission, giving that company at least my name and phone number, and asking a representative of Servpro to contact me to solicit business? I am now waiting for a supervisor to call me to explain
Robin M.Here we are in the midst of the coronavirus crisis, with all six of our kids home from school for the foreseeable future and our connection to city water line breaks! I called 3 Mountains at 4pm and we were flushing toilets again by 7:30! I am so grateful for their prompt (and affordable) service and clear explanations of exactly what went wrong, how to get credited for all that leaked water from the water bureau and what repairs were made. Highly recommend!
Joe came out and I got a call that I needed to replace my sewer pipe; tried to sell me on replacing it for $17k. ""Pipes are only meant to last 30 years."" (Huh??) ""My manager might be able to get the price down."" (Because he's a car salesman?)
I asked another company to give me a bid. They scoped the pipe and told me they couldn't give me a bid, because my pipe is fine.
Not cool, Joe.
Trent R.Found out I had a leak with my water company they said it was from the water main to the shut off vale in my garage and their was a leak at the shut out valve in my garage that was draining out of my garage but making a visible mess. Had Ian come out seemed like a nice guy saw the leak in the garage and checked for other leaks under crawl space and no issues or leaks in the house other than the garage and another leak from the shut off main from the street to the shoot into my house and the shut off valve that kept dripping. So he gave me three quotes one to fix find leak and patch it for $2,300, then another for $5,500 to replace main and drill new pipe from street to home and make a new main with shut off valve peace of mind with 10 year warranty. Then he said later we may need a Pressure valve but we wont know till we finish and get an inspection after the fact and that would be an extra $1,100 so my guess they would come back to me after the fact and say I need $6,600 to get er done.... I asked Ian if he could at least fix the leak in my garage before I decide on the rest of the work? The he said oh just put a bucket under it and we will get you on the schedule and get it fixed in the next few days and fix everything at that time???.... Also was talking about Finance options for the job I guess they had 12 months same as cash? Really??? So, my garage is going to be flooded with water for up to a couple weeks? Yikes. Ok, so was nice and told him I would think about it and get back to him the next day but instead called another plumber I know and told him if he could fix the leak in my garage he came next morning and stopped the leak in my garage for $165 bucks but I still had a leak from the main to the shoot he told me best thing to do is hire a Leak Locator company and find out where the leak is first before investing huge dollars he said if leak is right near house it wont cost that much so next thing I did was call a Leak Detection Company and see where my leak is and hope it's close to my home if not I wont be using 3 Mountains Pluming that's for SURE! They only want the big jobs if you have an easy quick fix or leak they will say just put a Bucket under it!!!! Wow, never again and my father referred them to me after I told him what happened he said he will never use them either and he wanted to call them back and complain. Was pissed! I wouldn't recommend.
