Larry really went above and beyond to help us when we returned from a trip late on New Year's Day and found our furnace opted to malfunction in the midst of a cold front, or what passes for one in San Francisco.

I called a bunch of heating contractors the next day -- a national holiday, because Jan. 1 fell on a Sunday -- and Larry was the only one to call me back. He was taking the day off as he tried to bounce back from a cold, but still walked me through several steps as we sought a way to fix the problem over the phone. When that didn't work, I texted him photos. When that didn't provide all the information he needed, we FaceTimed. All this from someone I had never talked to before who was supposed to be enjoying a holiday like everybody else. I was blown away by his desire to help.

We couldn't figure out the problem that way, so Larry came over the next afternoon and promptly got the furnace working after just a bit of tinkering. He even apologized for charging me his standard $125 service-call fee after it took him a relatively short time to fix the issue, but I felt like his efforts the previous day alone were worth the money. Plus, I was thrilled to have heat in the house again, and I learned quite a few things about furnaces and how they operate just from talking to him.

Larry mentioned his main expertise is actually in plumbing, but he does a fair amount of heating work at this time of the year. I kept his card and will make sure to call him the next time I have a need in either of those areas.

Larry has been to our condo twice for different issues. Plumbing and a broken heater. Both times he came quickly and once on a Sunday. He's honest, straightforward, and friendly. Seems like a neighborly handyman. He didn't even charge us on one of the visits. The other cost was minimal. He knows how to fix a variety of things. And he will talk to you about what is wrong. I woke up this morning to a stream of water flowing out of my garage as a result of a broken water heater. I found Larry on Yelp, gave him a call and he made it out to my house within about an hour. After explaining all of my options in detail, Larry installed a new water heater that same day. I give Larry my highest recommendation!

Just this morning over the phone, he diagnosed and walked me thru a fix (clear concise directions) that other plumbers would've made an expensive visit out of. Don't lose Larry's number; he's the best!

I called a few places to get someone to come over and fix a slow leak from a toilet tank. Larry came right over and gave a quick estimate for the work, picked up a specialty part to repair a vintage toilet, and had the problem fixed the next day.

Larry is awesome. On time, efficient, kind, reliable, knows what he's doing... I completely trust him in my home if I need to leave for errands while he works...
