I had a sewer-line issue about a year ago, and 24 Hour Plumbing and Sewer made the experience about as good as it could have been. It's not just the quality of their work, which was excellent. The real stand-out quality of this firm is their commitment to great communication. Chad was a total champ in responding calmly and professionally to my many questions, and the crew (Danny and Courtney) were likewise easy to talk to and happy to keep me updated on what was going on.

I think they really get that when someone calls them, that person is already under a ton of stress. Why is that is so hard for so many other home repair businesses to grasp???

And did I mention that they are super fast? I will not hesitate to call upon them in the future.

USE THEM -- professional, fair $, and nice! My kitchen sink had been getting slower and slooower for ages but I just couldn't face having to deal with another plumbing service. But then I stumbled across 24 Hour plumbing on yelp and the reviews were SO good that I figured I'd try. I'm really glad I did. Mike (owner, I think) came the first time. My husband was home (I wasn't). Mike snaked the sink and it made the draining better but not totally fixed. So he charged only a bit more than half of the estimate. I couldn't believe how fair that was -- any other plumber would have charged the whole thing bc he came and gave time. Mike discussed options w my husband and left. Then it got worse and I called again and set up an appointment. This time I was home and my husband initially wasn't. Warren came and spent a bunch of time snaking the drain with a longer snake and when it didn't totally fix the problem charged NOTHING. I couldn't believe it. That was the fairest, most reasonable thing any service has ever done in our home. We discussed options for what to do next to diagnose the problem -- even though Mike had already taken the time to do this with my husband the week before. Also -- and this matters -- my sense was that I could safely leave Warren in my house alone. Obviously you're probably not going to actually do that but the point is I found him totally trustworthy. I haven't always gotten that feeling from people working in my house (including plumbers). I will definitely use these guys again -- whether to do more work on the sink or for whatever else we need (including a large job we're considering).

Our drain had been clogged since 11AM on Sunday. After trying to fix it ourselves, we called Roto Rooter (RR), who refused to give us a quote over the phone. RR plumber arrives late at 11PM and to snake the drain wanted to charge us $465 - highway robbery. (Side note: I was told by my insurance company who handles our tree root drain/sewer issues to NOT call RR because of this exact reason. He was dead on. Take note, folks!)

I'm frantic at this point and the anxiety is about to make me implode - we haven't been able to wash baby bottles, use the dishwasher, flush the toilet, or use any water all day. Searching through Yelp and find this company. My husband calls - they're in Nassau County and wouldn't be able to make it to eastern Queens at night. They promise to come tomorrow at 7am.

[All night I can't sleep because I've dealt with my fair share of flaky plumbers. I am bracing myself for my 4 year old's impending deuce the next morning, and how likely it will be that we'll not be able to flush it down. TMI - but I'm painting a picture here.]

Around 6:20am Monday morning my husband receives a text from Mike informing him that he is 20 minutes away. (Praise the Lord!) He arrives, assesses the situation, and pretty quickly figures out the problem - grease clog 5ft in from the trap. Throughout the process he's explaining what he's doing and teaching us how to troubleshoot on our own next time.

We found out later that we're actually outside of their coverage zone, but they came anyway. We cannot be more grateful for them - experienced and not out to gouge you. I wish more plumbers understood that people would be more apt to be return customers if they were ethical and honest, like 24 hour plumbing is.

Super responsive and professional service. Mike showed up at our house on Thanksgiving day to make sure my heating system is fixed at moment's notice and a very reasonable price. It's hard to find this type of honesty and commitment to the profession these days. I would highly recommend Mike and 24 hr plumbing and sewer cleaning.

I have used 24 Hour Plumbing twice now. On both occasions they were very professional, priced fairly and did a great job. Yesterday Warren called ahead to say he could come early, which was great. He arrived as promised and quickly figured out the problem. He was able to fixed the problem (sewer trap) and the charge was very reasonable. Warren took time to explain how everything worked to me so that I understood it and what I could do to prevent future issues. Every aspect of working with them was pleasant and the problem is solved. You can feel comfortable working with everyone in this family friendly business. Thanks Warren!

24 hour plumbing is professional and easy to work with. I had to change times on them and they were very accommodating. Warren came on a Sunday morning and fixed my leaking toilet without issue, even though it looked like (to me) a somewhat difficult job. I will be using 24 hour plumbing in the future.

After reading reviews, I decided to have this company service my much needed plumbing needs in one of the properties I own. If I could give 100 stars, I would. Not only is the owner Anthony very nice and personable, but just as important, answered all my questions that I had.
Because I have owned property for over 40 years I have come to know much about general contracting and plumbing. His service was very professional. The detail questions I had were answered with great knowledge. Through the years, I have never hired a plumbing service as nice, as clean, as knowledgeable,as on time and fair prices. I will NEVER hire another plumber. Best service I had in 40 years. Very, very happy.

Mike S installed our Aquasana whole home water filtration and softener system. He came a day and a half before to give us a quote and see what materials he would need. When he showed up to install, he went right to work, banged it out, and did a great job. I don't know what else positive to say that anyone who reviewed him hasn't already said. His work speaks for itself and his awesome personality was an added bonus. When he left, my boyfriend and I were both like, ""what a cool guy!"" We felt really lucky to have found him, obvi.
