Disappointed. No follow up after providing the available time (it was partially my fault as I did not leave my phone number, but they could have message me back via Yelp estimate message thread). When I initiated a call to get these guys scheduled, here is what I was told:

* Technician is not available on the weekend without paying additional $99 dispatch fee
* Earliest AM appointment would be 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 am slot, but no technicians will show up until at least 7:30 a.m.

So why don't they say the earliest appointment time is 7:30 instead of 7:00? I do not get it. If I have 7:00 a.m. appointment, I expect someone to be ready to show up at or close to 7:00 a.m., but not 7:30 a.m. I have had multiple occasions of the vendors like cable/wifi provider and electricians, appearing right at 7:00 a.m. when they promised the service window of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

I was hoping for a better response from this company based on the positive reviews here (and I am glad to see this company fulfills and exceeds your expectations, Yelpers), but I do not believe Joe's 2 Sons will suit my needs.

06/06/2019 - after receiving several phone calls from the owner ""Eric(k)"" and a response from another owner ""Tyler"" - here is what I need to say:

I appreciated Eric(k) initially reached out to me on the phone to offer what ""they could do to make it right"" and offered a dispatch at 6:45 a.m. instead of 7:30, but I already had another company lined up for the service I needed on the 5th, at 5:30 p.m. In the meantime Eric(k) repeatedly stated I should reconsider my review, I advised Eric(k) that I had another plumbing company lined up for a service at 5:30 p.m., and I would let them (Joe's) know if my arrangement did not work out. Another plumbing company showed up right at 5:30 p.m. to get the job done, so I no longer needed Joe's service.

Then I received another call from Eric(k) this morning (06/06) at 7:30 a.m., asking if I still needed the service in my kitchen sink. I told him that everything is taken care of, and he started to tell me how unfair my review is, and (again) I should reconsider my review and give them at least 3 stars. I RESPECTFULLY DISAGREE. I expect a technician to call me before reaching my place sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., if my appointment is in that slot, but not between 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., even though that is the exact time the technician ends up to arrive. (7:00 a.m. is usually the first appointment of the day, and I have had other vendors like cable provider and electrician, showing right at 7:00 a.m. even though I was told by the dispatchers my appointment was ""between 7-9."") As I indicated in the initial review, Joe's service appears to be working well with other customers, and I am happy for them getting their jobs done right. This company just did not fit my needs, and it is my honest opinion. Eric(k) kept telling me my negative review affects their business badly, and the company needs to keep certain ""rating"" in order to have it run.

I believe the review should be an honest opinion and I am not changing it just because I am asked to do so, and what Eric(k) (and/or Joe's) is doing is a review manipulation. I do not provide my reviews in the way to please the company's reputations and business - that is not the reason I use Yelp. I seek fair reviews on this platform, and I do the same for fellow Yelpers.

I am not even sure how to reply to Tyler, another owner's response in a very aggressive tone. Assume he must have missed my initial review and just saw the 1 star, but for the sake of the fairness, I admitted it was partly my fault for not leaving my phone number in the first paragraph. Joe's did not follow up to Yelp message thread, and I ended up calling them in an attempt to make a service appointment. I certainly did not make an appointment with Joe's because there was an issue (thus ended up leaving this review in the first place). Tayler's clarification statement does not seem to be relevant, or applicable (to the least) to my review.

Mike and Moises from 2 Sons Plumbing arrived on-time, were ready, willing and eager to help and solve my issues. I had banging pipes in my wall when running the washing machine, dishwasher, shower - you name it. I just installed high-efficiency appliances and their on/off was hard-starting and hard-stopping. In addition, we learned that my water regulator wasn't working AT ALL.

Mike and Moises replaced my regulator and solved my water hammer issues by installing water hammer arrestors in several locations.

The next day, Mike came out because I had a different unrelated issue (fridge had weird old filter on it from previous home owners). Mike took care of that issue once and for all. Now lines don't get kinked and I don't have this unnecessary water filter sitting on top of my fridge.

I strongly recommend 2 Sons Plumbing. Experience can vary depending on circumstances, but my experience was all good.

If I could give zero stars I would. I scheduled my appointment for a window of 10-12. At 10 am I see I have a voicemail from the company asking for me to call back and confirm that I am at the house. I returned the call at 10:02 to confirm and was told that the plumber was dispatched to a different job because when they called at 9:45 I didn't answer. I explained that I was not expecting a call but was expecting a person to show up at the appointed time. The dispatcher was rude and argumentative. I explained that I had an appointment scheduled with them and was ready and waiting at the scheduled time. A plumber arrived near 11 am and then quoted me $618.00 to replace a sink faucet with one that I had purchased. No parts required and only 30 minutes of labor. $618.00. Outrageous. A total scam and rip off. When I told the plumber that the price was outrageous, he immediately said that he could lower it to $400. I asked him to please leave my home. I would not be doing business with Joe's 2 sons plumbing. I immediately called Mike's Plumbing. They were able to come out the same day. They fixed it perfectly and charged me $175 plus tax. I will never do business with Joe's 2 son plumbing again and neither of should you. If you want a fair price, quality customer service and excellent plumbing repair contact Mike's Plumbing.

Update: the owner, called me and asked me if I would accept $100 to take down my review. I declined. This explains all the 5 star reviews.

Update: the owners rebuttal is an after-the-fact attempt to mask the truth. His staff was rude, which over the phone he explained was due to her recent breakup, his plumber tried to wrip me off, which over the phone he claimed was due to a new billing system. Now that I have refused to take the post down he slanders me;claims his rates were reasonable; and suggests that I used an unlicensed plumber - which I did not. His tactics are transparent. Use this company at your own risk.

I've been living in my 1970 house for half year now. Still learning about the way how things had been done here, plumbing being almost a mystery to me. Recently I discovered a puddle forming next to my entry. I checked it out and found that the water is not stopping and seemingly coming from underneath the concrete porch.

I called Joe's and 2 Sons around 11am and they told me that they can schedule a technician for next day morning. The lady at scheduling was very understanding and told me to call in two hours to check if someone would be available the same day. I did and they managed to get Robert to come and check it.

Once he came, he quickly identified the problem. The pipe connecting my house to the main meter (located next to the curb about 60ft from my house) must have cracked somewhere and was leaking heavily. He gave me 2 options for repair - finding the leak and fixing it or replacing the entire pipe. Robert explained to me all the pros and cons of each option and reasonable estimates.

I decided to get new pipe. Fixing the old didn't make sense - it would probably fail again in near future and the cost of fixing could be anything from $4k to $20k depending on where the pipe failed (end-cost with possible repaving, etc.). Robert quickly drafted a reasonable estimate and went over all the paperwork. Joe's 2 Sons offer multiple ways to pay for the repair, including financing, but I opted for 2 part payment with CC.

Once that was done, Robert went ahead and dug up two holes to prepare for boring and placing new pipe. The boring would happen next morning and I had a new pipe before 12pm. Meanwhile, Robert left me the key to turn off the water in the night so the water doesn't do more damage to my house.

During the install, Robert kept me updated on every step of the repair. He checked the sewer to see if the boring might have damaged it. It didn't, but he suggested I should install a cleanout (which my house didn't have). The concrete pipe connecting me to city sewer was already worn down and didn't have any bottom. We could see some waste accumulating. I went ahead with his suggestion. The hole next to my house was already dug up, so I might as well do it all at once. It had to be widen a bit. He drafted another estimate and got all the permits rolling. The install took next 3 days, but everything happened according to schedule that Robert gave me.

I was extremely happy overall. I can't say enough good things about entire experience. I was scared and stressed about the leak, but once Robert arrived I felt that my plumbing was in good hands. He is definitely extremely knowledgeable tech and explained everything in very simple manner. I've learned so much about my house due to this. The new pipes look sturdy and give me a peace of mind.

The repair went very smoothly. Robert left everything very tidy. Anytime they had to dig, all the dirt was covered, plants were protected. After they finished with cleanout install, everything was cleaned up and you could barely tell anything had been done. They went as far as to clean the street from any dirt, etc. They didn't litter or leave any trash lying around. Very clean job.

Robert was very polite and friendly. He kept me in the loop of anything they had been doing. He was always on time and worked diligently to fix my plumbing. I definitely recommend Joe's and 2 Sons for any plumbing project you might have.

Highly recommend! They were late on the first day, but apologized and explained the circumstances. I still want to give a five stars because they were really efficient, knowledgeable and precise. Our technician was David and he was very good at his job, also very courteous and patient. Clarity on billing, no hidden fees and payment was easy to do.
