My water heater was leaking. I went through my home warranty company who sent 1st response. The technician came out timely and explained everything to me. He was great. Where things started going terribly wrong is the administrative side. After he came out my home warranty was waiting for them to submit a diagnosis in order to get the water heater replacement approved. Not only was a diagnosis not submitted they never responded to a number of phone calls or texts after the initial visit. Even my home warranty company tried to reach out to them. They left me a week with no hot water until I was able to get another company to come out instead. My recommendation is to away from this company at all costs.
This company was referred by my home warranty insurance(Choice Warranty).
The appointment was scheduled for April 24 between 1100-1500. At 1408 I received a text the time was changed to 1430-1830. The technician Joe arrived.
April 25 I reached out to my home warranty. They requested a response from your company.
April 26 requested an update from my home warranty. They requested another response from your company.
April 27 I spoke with my home warranty and they reached out a third time.
Very disappointing
Our water heater went out on a Friday, 1st Response Plumbing came out and diagnosed the problem on Wednesday (5 days after failure). The following Tuesday (11 days after failure) they were set to put in a new water heater, ball valve and PRV. They didn't show up. Not only that, they stopped returning my calls and texts. On Friday (14 days after failure), I found a new plumber. This new plumber had us fixed up within 3 days! Monday (17 days failure), I have a new water heater, ball valve, PRV and expansion tank! 1st Response Plumbing has a ""F"" with BBB for a reason! What a waist of my valuable time. What kind of company ghosts a family of six like that? Run the other way!
Edward G.Called 1st response to help with leak detection. Wanted a thorough inspection after previous service did not leave me confident in their assessment. They were flexible with scheduling and was able to adjust to my request.
I was happy with the inspection that James did. He was thorough and communicated his findings. He took the time to explain, show me and give advice for next steps. I felt confident in the results found and that nothing was left out, and everything was fully inspected.
Sheiila G.The plumber they sent had a really bad attitude since the beginning, his name is Chuck. He made a mess in the shower, sprayed water to the ceiling, dropped his tools on the brand new new tiles and when I offered a cloth for him to lay his tools on and avoid damage, he yelled at me: ""What now? Am I dropping stuff on your tile? You crazy lady"". That's when I asked him to gather his things and get out of our house. On his way out, he was hitting the newly painted hallway doors with his equipment, tried to kick our front door, attempted to scratch my car.
The most shocking part was the fact that his misogynistic supervisor approved of his behavior and did absolutely nothing about it.
Bella S.Extremely unprofessional. They changed my appointment time from 8-12 then I got a text saying 2-4pm.. then they show up at 6pm... I only went with them as my home insurance went through them. I find out it was delivered to 1st response from my home warranty and they have made no effort to arrange a time to install. I have called and cant get through... I get hung up on and also spoken to extremely rudely. This is no way to run a business.
They do not pick up the phones and when they do they speak rudely to clients.
When calling the guy says rudely ""I don't know who you are"" when he picked up the phone... this is the phone line listed on their google business 858-585-3003...
On sunday at 2am I received a email stating that 6am on Monday my water heater would be installed. I texted the number listed to confirm and I was met with... a text ""its sunday, call back monday"" Yes sir I know its sunday!! I need to confirm as your business said I was booked for a service early AM tomorrow and have not been called yet!
Advice for the business
A.) Don't need to respond if its SUNDAY or B.) be polite and take a class on customer service. I have been without hot for over three weeks in the middle of winter.
I have also been hung up on from this company and sent to phone lines without anyone on it!
I spoke to my insurance company they have had my hot water heater for over a week and now finally once I tell them they are being unprofessional they book me for Friday... a whole week after they have had my hot water heater. They dodge calls. Stay away!
arrived 1 1/2 hours late and dispatched a truck without any of the equipment necessary to perform the repair. The technician simply wanted to reschedule for another day with another crew. They clearly knew the scope of the work because I discussed with the owner the prices and the techniques involved to make the repairs. Honestly these guys were ill-equipped and terrible communications and I would not recommend using them.
Roxanne M.I submitted a trouble ticket for clogged bathroom sinks. Scheduling the appointment was seamless and expedited. The plumber that took the work order was Lorrell.. top notch customer service, punctual and personable. My strongest recommendation for any one looking for quality service.
I had a leaking drain pipe and my home warranty insurance connected me with this company. It took a while to get everything approved by the insurance and make sure they will cover it. During that time I briefly interacted with Robert and Andrea who helped me to coordinate everything and send all info to the insurance. Charles was the plumber who came first to assess the problem (and did it correctly), and then later to fix the source of the leak. Charles was polite, prompt, and professional. He also helped to fix another small leak under the sink that was not a part of the original service call and said that he did not want to leave me with another problem. Overall very positive experience with Charles and 1st Response.
My toilet was continually running water and not refilling the water tank. It did the same thing each time I went to use it.....so frustrating. I contacted 911 Restorarion Plumbing, described the problem, and asked them to send someone out to help. I was concerned about wasting water and not being able to use the toilet. Charles arrived at the scheduled time. He was friendly and approachable while asking me to describe the problem. In no time he had solved the issue and restored the toilet. Thank you Charles and 911 Restorarion. You will be highly recommended to friends and family for your timeliness, professional ability, and great customer service in such short notice. Thank you, thank you.
