prompt and professional, it was hard to find a plumber in Bowie that is not part of a ""chain"". I wanted the shower roughin valve changed,as part of an upgrade and he did it with no fuss . Will definitely use him again for future jobs

We were hearing water running. After checking Yelp and seeing other reviews, I decided to call 1st Choice Plumbing. Due to the holidays, I called back the 5th. The call was answered in person by Linneer. When the appointment time came, he called half an hour ahead and arrived right on time. This was January 7th and the weather was not good.

Linneer recognized the running water as having to do with our reverse osmosis filtered water system (he was accurate). He checked a toilet that had been running (I had to shut it off) and explained that a new toilet was needed due to its antiquity. It used too much water, wasn't holding water in the tank and trying to fix it would not be efficient. Since two plumbers before him had tried, I believed him.

The next morning he arrived right on time. The toilet was replaced, he took his time explaining that older houses (older pipes) needed care. He worked effectively with an uneven floor and an old toilet set up (the opening into the sewer drain) that was originally installed without centering it.

The new toilet works beautifully.

I'll be calling him for the other two toilets. Linneer said to get one thing done at a time and be gentle with the house.

I seldom write reviews, but the other Yelp reviewers helped me find someone who is exceptionally competent. I hope this review does the same for others.

Who loves plumbing issues? Not me, and I don't have to because I take all my plumbing woes to 1st Choice. The owner, Lineer, does his job in such a professional manner that it is almost a pleasure to deal with the plumbing issues. I feel confident that I'm not getting ripped off and that I'm dealing with someone who wants to help you get back to your life. He's not trying to make the job bigger than it already is. He is honest and takes his job seriously. He is my go-to guy for plumbing needs, especially this last time when I was getting my inspection to-do list completed for my house's picky buyers.

Absolutely should be your first choice. With a 60 year old house we had a lot of small issues we had been putting off for the four years we had lived here. Had quotes over the years from the big guys but ask seemed high so kept delaying. Well this morning we knocked out half the list at reasonable price after he helped us prioritize. Highly recommend for ALL plumbing issues.

I called 1st Choice Plumbing based on all of the favorable reviews I read on this site. He came out the next day and addressed all of my needs including a leaky faucet I asked him about while he was there to fix the other items. Linneer is extremely attentive and professional! His prices are very reasonable. I have used some of the big name plumbers who constantly advertise and they did not do as good of a job as Linneer did. He has become my plumber of choice and I highly recommend him!!!

Found this vendor on YELP and decided to give him a call based on all the positive reviews. He charged us nearly $400 for about an hour and a half of work. No problem...as long as the issue got fixed. Snaked a line in our home and ran some basic tests afterward to show that the drain was cleared. We specifically asked, ""but what if the problem occurs again. is your work guaranteed?"" He basically side stepped the question with a response like, ""Just call me and we'll see what we can do."" About a day or so later...we had the same problem and called to tell him that our basement was again flooding when we flushed the toilet and ran washing machine at same time. Despite repeated attempts to contact him...he never returned the call. Had two different relatives contact him regarding a quote...just to guage whether he was intentionally avoiding us...and he called them both back immediately. I would have been fine if he had even just called back to discuss the issue. Even if he had only called to say that he didn't think the current issue was at all related to the former. Instead, his lack of a response was evident that he'd made a couple of dollars off of us...and wasn't interested in coming back to retrace his work. We ended up doing some research online and fixed it ourselves. $400 wasted and our trust in this company ruined for good! Just goes to show that you cannot put complete faith in the reviews you read about a company.

OMG. 1st Choice is Excellent. I found him on Yelp and based on the reviews and his price we hired him. I have to say he is EXCELLENT. EXCELLENT. EXCELLENT. If I could give him more stars than 5 I would. If you need a plumber, 1st Choice should be your FIRST CHOICE!!

I specifically searched for a great plumbing service on Yelp, because I have had great experiences from Yelp reviewed businesses. Thus, I found 1st Choice Plumbing. I was excited because perhaps I could find a company that I could trust to be responsive, honest and fair.

I clicked on the website listed on Yelp, filled out their online contact form on their first page and requested a quote, or at least the initiation of some form of communication. I did this last week. I am still waiting. I then submitted a second communication through their home page contact form, and nothing.

I will definitely revise this review whenever they decide that contacting me back is a good idea.

I had a minor plumbing leak. Other companies wanted to charge me an outlandish amount of money just to come out and tell me how much they would charge me to fix it. Linneer came out the following day and fixed my minor leak for less than what the other companies wanted to charge me just to come give me a price quote. Workmanship and customer service was excellent! I highly recommend this company! Linneer is a true professional.
