Last choice plumbing might be a better name. Put in service call through my home warranty company last week. We heard from them and they were to come on Wednesday. Wednesday they called to say techs were ill so they rescheduled for Friday. Friday they called and said the tech injured himself so can't come. Having read the other reviews, I think we are better off with a bucket under the leak and getting another plumber assigned.

This company is a joke. We gad a water heater install not even a year and suppose to have a warranty . Well my water heater had a heating element go put and they want to charge us for the labor. Which is a 100 dollars a hour. It is there mistake why the element went out if it was installed properly this would of never happened and I should be not getting charged the labor cost. Bullcrap!

I can understand why this company has only a star and a half rating. By far the worst, most unprofessional, unresponsive plumbing company. Been over a week since they were at my home and knew what part to order and they STILL DONT KNOW IF ITS EVEN BEEN ORDERED.
Just don't, find another company.

I'll spare you the long story similar to many others that initiated contact with this scam of a business through their home warranty company (American Home Shield) but over a one week period this company blatantly lied to my tenants and I regarding additional repairs that were not necessary and ultimately could not get a handle on something as simple as replacing a garbage disposal. After one week of frustration I found a reputable plumbing company to replace the garbage disposal for less $ and also fixed an issue that this company had instructed me requiring to drill through a concrete wall to replace a broke shower drain cap which the new plumbing company fixed free of charge. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! IF THEY ARE ASSIGNED THROUGH AMERICAN HOME SHIELD ASK AHS TO REASSIGN A DIFFERENT PLUMBING COMPANY!!

Horrible experience. Full on predatory company!
This company was sent out from my home warranty co.
I was assured by their reception staff that the appointment I made would end with them replacing my water heater that blew up on me, because as I told them: I have a toddler that always needs a bath when I bring her home from day care.
Well, the tech got there as we were pulling up and was very nice. We looked at the water heater and he agreed it needed to be replaced.
Him: Only thing is, we won't be able to get to it till Monday
Me: That seems strange since I was assured that y'all would be able to do it today.
Him: Hmm. Well the HW company is closed and we need authorization from them to replace it.
Me: Well, they aren't closed and it needs to be replaced. I was told you'd be able to get it done today. If you can't, why are you here?
Him: Well we CAN do it today... If you have a credit card with $1200 on it we can get it done and then Old Republic will pay you back.
Me: It's time for you to go.
See, Old Republic only repays at their discounted rate. $250. So I would have been left holding the bag for the $950 difference and they KNEW that. They tried to take advantage of a Dad worried about bathing his daughter because they would get a higher price point for the service than the one the home warranty company pays them.
So rather than let me get someone else who will actually do the repair for the price they agreed upon with the home warranty company, they tried to take advantage of my situation and rip me off.
Never ever ever ever do business with them.
I'll be talking to my Old Republic Home Protection contact tomorrow to have them removed from the list of contractors they source through.
Hope it was worth it!

Was sent out from my warrant company. Rob Sold me a clean out for $400 which. Next Plummer said was not necessary and it was installed wrong. Later found out from warranty company clean up t would have been covered by them. He didn't even fix the true plumbing problem. Opened up my walls which I later found out has asbestos. Still trying to get my money back!

1st Choice Plumbing should never be anyone's 1st choice is obviously the LOW Bidder selected by Old Republic Home Warranty company. Hot water replacement, Chris from 1St Choice is sent out by Old Republic. First thing Chris says is he can't replace until a restoration company comes to dry the 18inch box the heater is mounted on. Then he insists that the supply lines need replacement with stainless steel flex lines at a $150 upcharge because the old ones were over tightened and the gaskets were flattened. I ask if they are compression fittings and he lies and tells me no. Then he says a drip pan is code and will have to be placed under the new heater, another lie. He quoted $150.00 for new supply lines, $195.00 for the drip pan and $50.00 for disposal of old heater. He then calls the warranty company and tells them the original installation was faulty and they call me and state it will be $715 additional because the total cost is going to be $1340 and they will not cover the upcharges to bring the installation up to code which was not an issue but Chris apparently told them it was. They then propose buying me out by sending me a check for $460 which represents the cost of the new heater less Chris' labor and the $65.00 service charge.
Update called another company plumbing company and the entire job was just a bit over $800.
They charged $35.00 for new supply lines and $50.00 for the drip pan which I elected to install not because it was a code requirement. The haul away of the old unit was included in the overall cost and not an extra. They also confirmed the old supple lines had compression fittings and were rusted from age not improper installation.
Chris and 1st Choice are dishonest and unethical and you would be well advised to stay away fro 1st choice plumbing.

Deserves zero stars. Dishonest and unethical. Sent out from my home warranty company for a bathroom leak. Rob said he could not make the repair until a restoration company. And out and cut holes all over the house. And he just so happened to have a referral company which he admitted he got a ""spiff"" from - ready to go. After the quote came in at $3,500 (not including fixing the leak!!) I got a second opinion. Servpro and KW Plumbing came out. $200 leak fix, $800 Servpro bill to dry out the walls - $1,000 total!!
Will never use again.

Wow what a ripoff this place is. I had to use this company through my home warranty company (AHS). My water heater broke and this company came and said yes I needed a new water heater, No problem my home warranty covers water heater right? Hahaha. Yes but not all the extras this company adds to the price. $700 dollars worth of extra work they need to do. They quoted new water lines $140, T & P, $110, drain pan $195, drain leg $95, vent modification $95. I called a reputable plumbing company to come out and take a look. They actually laughed at the charges from 1st choice. Especially the $195 for a drain pan, which they sell for $25. They said all of this extra work is unnecessary. Not only was it unecessary but 1st choice took some of the water line hookups with them!!!!! Why I asked the new plumber?? He said they can get money for the scrap copper they took!!!! Not only did this company rip me off with the amount the wanted to charge me but they actually ripped me off by stealing the copper lines from my home!!!! The new company I called charged my $1000 for a brand new water heater and installed. Avoid this company at all costs. They actually steal from clients. LIterally!!!!

Old Republic sent this company for an ongoing bathroom problem. They were here 3 or 4 times and still cannot solve the problem...Done with them...
UPDATE...I had another plumber come to the house for the problem...turns out all that needed to be done was a wax seal replacement on the toilet...So much for being qualified...You aren't 1st Choice and certainly not 1st Quality either...Go back to plumbing school and get training...
