Definitely overpriced. An employee came for a free estimate, which I appreciated, but wanted to charge a little over $900 to replace my toilet. I understand it may not be easy, but my goodness. It was going to cost about 3-4 times the cost of the toilet itself. Will not be using this company.

This company is criminal charging over $300 to flush an electric water heater. It takes them only 15 from start to finish to complete this type of job. Avoid this money hungry company.

We recently purchased a home that 1st call had completed plumbing work on prior to us closing. When we moved in we noticed that there was still a leak coming from our master bath shower. We contacted 1st call, who at first was very helpful, they wanted to make sure the same plumber came out since they were familiar with the work. They came out and did an inspection, opened the wall and confirmed the leak was coming from the shower and that it was simply missed when the initial work was done. They informed us the issue was either the shower pan or the gasket for the drain. The plumber told us they could fix the plumbing but would not be able to safely remove the tile work or we could contact a contractor to get the entire job completed. We told him we would let him know what we decided. My husband and father removed the shower doors, tiles and parts of the wall to make sure the plumber could come in and repair the leak. After calling 1st call back to set up the appt they informed us there was nothing they could do and we would now have to go through a contractor. This has left us frustrated, feeling as though we had wasted our time and were originally given false information. We tried to tell them we had removed everything so they could fix the issue and they still refused to work on the job. I would not recommend.

Positive: Quality

We had a new AC / heater installed going on 3 years ago. The heater never really worked right from the beginning so we called 1st call and they sent someone out. The tech shrugged off the issue, told us the heat pump will freeze up during below freezing temps but will return to normal function when the sun comes up and the pump is able to defrost. Shortly after that visit we had the south Texas snow storm. With the rolling brown outs the heater wouldn't keep up anyway so no one was called again. We started having issues again this year. Any time the temp got close to freezing the heater would stop working. Waking up to a 55 degree house got old so we finally called someone out again. They sent Chris Ricketts. Within 10 minutes he found the issue. The wires that control the Aux heat were not making a good connection. He fixed the connection, reprogrammed our thermostat and now we have heat. He made a 5 star review customer out of a customer that would have recommended anyone go anywhere else. Give that man a raise! Thanks again Chris!

I cannot thank the people at 1st Call Plumbing enough for fixing my leaking (from freeze) outside hose bib, from the phone scheduler, to Chris and his partner. It was of course on a weekend and I was first given an appointment the following day, but the scheduler said she would contact me if it could be sooner. Within 15 min. She called back to say they could be at my house within 15 min. Chris and his partner (sorry I cannot recall his name) were courteous and professional. They competed the repair quickly and also provided a quote to replace my street shut off which is not functioning. 1st Call Plumbing will now be my plumbing service. Thank you again!

Once again, 1st Call came to my rescue in record time. With the freezing weather, a hose bib coming out of my house burst. My house looked like a fire hydrant. This is the second time I've used 1st Call and they were just as professional, efficient and responsive as they were the first time. Within a few hours they were able to send someone out to help. Josh and his apprentice Julian were friendly, knowledgeable and got the work done very quickly. Water was restored to my house and Josh gave me some pointers on how to beat deal with the cold weather. Julian even found one of my earrings that I had lost in the yard, in my frantic attempt to get my water shut off.
The service was excellent and the price reasonable. I really can't say enough good things about the company and it's staff.

it was one of those Yelp moments when you know why the plumbing co. you picked to fix/replace a kitchen faucet consistently gets 5 stars for their work. Professionalism. 1ST Call Plumbing did not disappoint. Chris Muha & Tate his assistant showed up to help. 1st off they fixed the problem of the faucet just by checking the release mechanism, but what was really impressive was my wife had seen a modern design she liked. Whala!! 1st Call Plumbing had one in stock. Chris & Tate had finished up in no time, now for some dirty work. heh, Thank you 1st Call Plumbing.
