Over the span of two days Richie, Cooper, Jeff and Christian demonstrated great knowledge and expertise while preparing and relining the sewage pipe from my house. They were able to answer all of my questions and kept me informed throughout the process.

Very responsive and friendly, hence two stars. But they don't break out their labor from the parts in their estimate, and they push a service plan that ends up feeling predatory as a result (what's the meaning of 15% off future service if you don't share the labor fee?). They diagnosed the same thing that showed up on the error message (broken motor in our boiler) only to ask for $2300 (and a week) to fix it. It's a $300 part. We fixed it fairly quickly, for about $2,000 less, and I was mortified that I even called them and had to pay $89. I just thought they'd, you know, fix it. For a fair price. So hard when you just need help and are given a high quote - so stressful!

We needed 128 P&H to check the problem with our split systems failing to work after our generator went on during a storm. The representative we spoke with connected us with their electrician, Chris M., who spoke with us and arranged to come by that day. Chris is a pleasure to work with. He checked out everything, came up with the solution which required him to

Jeff F. was the technician who performed the free video inspection of our sewer line in Newton. Due to tree roots, the line was close to being totally occluded. Jeff explained the way in which 128 Plumbing would clear away the roots and years of scale build-up in the iron pipeline. He also explained how the pipe could be lined to prevent entry of roots (an expensive choice). Jeff was professional and friendly. He emailed me the photos and video and never put pressure on me to use his company. I really appreciate his help.

I had 128 plumbing come out yesterday. They were on time, speedy response and the plumber was really nice, a younger kid, probably in his 20s. I needed someone bc my toilet was leaking and I needed a new stopper for my sink. The quote I got was $2400. I'm not sure how we went down this road but he then started looking at the main shut off valve, pipes in basement, under all the sinks and shut off valves throughout the house. He proceeded to tell me several things were not up to code including vale's and pipes and was all said and done the entire quote was over $5k. I then asked if he worked on commission and he smiled and said a small part of their pay is commission. Thankfully, I asked a plumber friend who told me that the initial item I needed replaced should only be $1500-1600 at the most. I will not be using 128 for this job or any in the future.
**update: the owner, Ryan, called me after I posted this review and expressed his apologies for the experience. He wanted to make things right and offered to do the job himself al gratis due to this experience and the nature of the interaction yesterday. I truly appreciate him following up and the customer service**

The office responded to us very quickly (on a Sunday!) in response to our inquiry about a mini-split air conditioning system and set up a very timely appointment.

Evan was our sales rep. He came to our home, was very courteous, attentive and knowlegeable about the mini-split air conditioning systems. He quickly reviewed our needs and made a great recommendation for the proper units to fit our house. He recommended a Mitsubishi heat pump system which from doing my homework previously, was a high quality manufacturer. We received a call the next day from their office who set up a 3-day installation appointment for the next week.

Jared was our installer assisted by Anthony. He did a great job answering our questions and ensured that we knew exactly what he was proposing. He also gave us options for aesthetics and functionality. He was a good listener and explainer. Both men were very courteous and knowlegeable about the installation process. They always cleaned up after their work. At the end of the 3-day installation, we were given an overview of the system, how to operate it, and instructions for cleaning and maintenance.

The system runs great. The two indoor hair handling units are whisper quiet and were sized properly by their team to cool our entire first floor. A third indoor unit in the bedroom quietly cools us all night. (A big change from the noisy window air conditioner. The outdoor compressor/condenser is unbelieveably whisper quiet.

The office is handling all the paperwork to submit to MassSave to obtain our sizeable rebate!

We had a very good experience working with 128 Home Services and would highly recommend them to others.
