Was looking for an electrical service with electricians to fix a couple of small things in my house. I tried fixing a garage light that had a pole chain but my hands were too big to get in and there wasn't much wire for me to do it so I called 128. They told me they would be amount of dollars just to come to the house even though I thought it was a little high I said OK cause I know things are expensive these days I believe the quote was $100. The guy showed up on time and I showed him what I needed done he fixed it in no time even though I had the brand new part and I gave him it then he told me afterwards he thought that the 15 amp pole that was a switch needed to be replaced and he quoted me a price and I said OK then he said to me now that those two things was there anything else I needed while he was there and I had already paid the money for him to come to the house. I explained to him that I had a three-way light switch that I had put in an outlet For it was an actual three-way switch and it never really worked and it was a little dangerous cause it was on the stairs as you come up my stairs so you said he would look at it. He took a look at it and he was working both ends of the three-way. I don't know if he ended up replacing the switch or not. I know the switches were brand new but the bottom line was I went from about $300 to $500 once he fixed the 15 amp switch to $800 at the end which I thought was a little bit expensive considering all it was was a couple of switches and a $10 garage light pole chain socket. I probably would never have them come to the house again only because I think they're way overpriced, I expected even up to 500 but not 800 that was crazy and I actually got them referred to through Angie's list so I know they have to probably pay Angie's list the fee but still wow. For the amount of time the guy was here that ended up being a crazy quote, I paid it kept my mouth shut but as I was paying it, I was getting a little angry at myself for even having them come unfortunately the reason why I use them also, was I seen a couple assignments in my neighborhood so I figured they had done some workin the neighborhood for some of the neighbors and I thought that was a good sign. I will have to check into these matters much closer next time.

Nick, Ryan, and Steve replaced all of the cast iron pipes and installed a toilet. The team was professional, knowledgeable, attention to detail, and very responsive. The team also did a great cleanup job. I highly recommend 128 Plumbing. Thanks for a job well done.

Fair warning: ""128"" hasn't done any job in my house, but in this review I assume that if they did, the job would've been of a high quality. So, why is one star? Answer is simple - I believe it's a rip-off business.
My story: back in November 2023 my 17-years old boiler died - as boilers always do, it did it on a weekend. It was pretty cold already and in a panicking mode I started calling whoever is available - ""128"" was one of them. They came, very professional, looked at the damage and told me that the whole system needs replacement - and I agreed. Long story short: the entire job - new boiler, old system removal, fixing some existing safety/""not to the code"" issues etc. - $19,230 (before taxes, and they could start only two weeks later!) I was expecting half of that at most, so I called another company and got even bigger quote. Fortunately, I didn't stop and kept calling and found two more companies one quoted $10K, another - $9K. I went with the $10K one because they could start working the next day. BTW, during the assessment ""10K"" guy quoted the exact same equipment, pointed to the exact same issues that need to be fixed - but all for half the price of ""128"".
Job was finished in two days, very high quality, tidy job - no complains, very happy!
Bottom line: in situation like mine - which is most common - HVAC guys believe they have you over the barrel and you don't have any choice other than to pay whatever they want to charge you, however outrageous. When I asked why the price is so high, they tried to sell me some BS about ""overhead"", ""price of quality"" etc. - and other nonsense. Unfortunately for them, I knew a thing or two about all this and didn't buy their BS.
Bottom line: unless you REALLY have no other choice, skip ""128"" and keep looking, as I did - and you'll be rewarded by saving many thousands of good, hard-earned cash. Good luck!

On a positive note, they came out on a Sunday to provide a temporary fix to get my heat going for about $400. He was there for about 20 minutes.

Now here's the thing. I'm sure they do good work based on the other reviews and I commend them for that. But the plumber quoted my wife (not me) over $17k to replace the 5 yr and 3 month old combi unit. I could have the exact same unit delivered to my house for under $3300. So they're asking $14,000 in labor to swap out a unit. Something that can be done by 2 guys in 3 hours. I kid you not, and they know it! I mentioned this to a master plumber and he said, yeah they quoted my friend $52k to replace two boilers. Something he guessed he'd do for $20k.

I feel bad for people who don't know nothing about nothing because you will get swinded.

128 was amazing again. Alen S. from their Electrical team came out and solved my problem in the most efficient way possible. He was extremely professional, listened to my various ideas, and came up with a solution that I did not even think of. I was looking to move a thermostat from our hallway into the bedrooms for accurate temp readings. Initially it looked that this would require some large holes in the walls and running new wiring. With Alen's expertise, he was able to set up wireless temperature sensors and placement of the new thermostat that required ZERO holes in my walls. He was great to work with, and I couldn't be happier with the result and value of his work! Thanks Alen and 128 PHCE !! Lifetime customer!

I have been a loyal 128 Home Services customer for 5 years. Just had a GFI plug die on me last night, they answered my call last night and sent out Alen Stijakovic this morning for a 7:30 to 8:30 arrival. He arrived on time, checked everything out and replaced the plug quickly. He also taught me how to figure out the amperage of our appliances (Watts divided by Volts!) so we know when we have more than 20 Amps plugged into our circuit! I highly recommend 128 for any electrical, HVAC, and plumbing work!

I used 128 for service on my hot water heater, and I am also using them for AC service. They were professional and handled the job quickly. They communicated well about the time when they would show up. The only downside for me is that it can be difficult to book service -- they only had appointments fairly far in the future.

I had 2 heat pumps installed my 128 a few months ago and they are a fantastic company. The service is unbelievable. They helped me through mass save which got me a $10,000 rebate and the rest financed at 0% over 7 years.... Now I am no longer spending a fortune on oil. Full service company that made the process as easy as possible.
