2. Expertise and honest work ethic -- Simon was our man, and from the start he impressed us with his expertise. House painter painted over the exterior kitchen clean out? No problem. Simon could have easily charged more by switching to cabling the kitchen drain line from inside the house, but he knew just what to do to gain access, allowing us to make use of their current $99 drain special from accessible cleanout.
3. Respectful - No way to avoid this - plumbing is a dirty job! We were impressed when Simon took care to both set up his work area and clean up afterwards. Without us having to ask, he put on booties while indoors, brought his own disposal pan, and observed both the mask-wearing and social distancing precautions we have in place during this shelter-in-place mandate.

We had a total back up everything in our house. I called Eddie because he had quickly come out to fix two plumbing problems for us in the past.

Because of sheltering in place I didn't want anyone in my house and he shared that caution. I knew I had had a clean out valve installed in the front of the house in the past, But previous plumbers hadn't been able to find it.

Eddie had his workman crawl under the house to look to see where the sewer line exited the house , he also used a camera in the line. By Using both of those techniques, he was finally able to find the clean out valve. It was under landscaping tarp, tanbark and dirt. When I had redesigned my front yard five years ago, the landscaper had stupidly covered it up!

Ed was then able to snake from the clean out valve to the city sewer line and pull out a bunch of old roots and dirt.

I'm probably am looking at having Ed replace the 60 year old clay section of the sewer line, but for now everything is working And I don't have to do it while we are all SIP!

Last night after dinner as we rinsed the dishes in the kitchen sink, to my dismay when I turned on the InSinkErator, water bubbled up out of the drain in both sinks. It took a long time to drain away. :-( We tipped 2 bottles of drain cleaner down the drain and waited an hour but it didn't fix it.

So this morning about 11 a.m. I phoned Eddie at #1 Honest Plumber, because he cleared our drains a few years back. Eddie immediately answered the phone (no voice mail system, which is great!) and was very clear, upbeat, articulate and friendly. He told me he'd send Simon and Angel sometime between 2pm and 4pm. They arrived at 1 pm (an hour earlier than estimated, which is much better than 2 hours later, which has happened with other vendors in the past). They had the whole thing analyzed, fixed and tested in under 30 minutes. They were professional, polite and approachable, they both wore masks and kept their distance. The whole thing, start-to-finish, was a very positive experience. I heartily recommend Eddie and his lads, we've had great experiences twice with them now.

Also: at the moment Ed is offering a special of $99 for this type of drain unclogging. So that strengthens my recommendation.

I called #1 Plumber early in the morning. The owner Eddie quickly returned my call and sent his worker, Simon?, in half an hour, to clear a drain from my kitchen. He fixed the problem within half an hour and also replaced a PVC pipe under the sink. Great work, fast response, very professional, very reasonable price. Many thanks to Eddie and Simon. I called to get a quote to fix a jammed garbage disposal (which was on the lower end of average). But instead of charging me to come out, he very clearly explained to me over the phone, step by step, how to dislodge it myself with the disposal key. Took about 10 seconds of wiggling (after all my tugging on the stuck item the day before did nothing). Saved him a trip and saved me the money. He was definitely willing to come out, but I appreciate that he took the time to explain it to me instead. The other plumber I called just told me I would probably have to replace the whole unit. Very professional job. Replacement of the sewage lateral was done without hick-ups. He has a variety of methods including trenchless sewage installation. Eddie estimated extent of the job accurately, his crew was very careful not to damage any water or gas communications in the process. Everything was completed and permitted as promised. Highly recommend for any plumbing/sewage work.

Eddie is great! I put out a request via Yelp and he responded within a few minutes. After a quick call describing my issue (main sewer line blockage), he stopped by in about half an hour.
